Syntax Error when click Pack Mod
Re: Syntax Error when click Pack Mod
It does, but it also does other stuff.
The SCS tools will simply convert the files for you.

Re: Syntax Error when click Pack Mod
Ah ok. So i need to use 'ConverterPix' instead of 'Pack Mod' or do i need to use both?
Re: Syntax Error when click Pack Mod
Just the one.
In Blender, just above the pack mod button are two other buttons:
"Export"
and "Convert Current SCS Project".
You use these two instead of pack mod.
After that you copy the files from the conversion folder into your mod and make any further edits to mod files that you need and if you want to make a .zip file you do it manually.
I believe that pack mod does several of these steps for you.

Re: Syntax Error when click Pack Mod
Oh awesome. So i don't need to actually download some other software?
Re: Syntax Error when click Pack Mod
I think you do need it. I use converterpix myself when making mods based on SCS files.

Re: Syntax Error when click Pack Mod
Convert pix can be fully integrated into blender so that you just need to click pack mod and all models in the mod will be converted without them being open in blender. Way easier then to copy the stuff into the converter every time

Re: Syntax Error when click Pack Mod
Ok so i've just done some reading on the modding wiki and reading on this forum.
This is my understanding again i am new to this so do please let me know if i have misunderstood anything.
So it looks like there are lots of different add-ons and things required for Blender Tools and this is my understanding of them:
- ConverterPix - used to convert SCS models (.pmg) to mid-formats (.pim) to then get into Blender Tools.
- ConverterPixWrapper - an addon for Blender that combines ConverterPix and Blender Tools ability to import mid-format files (.pim) so that the end result is that you can import SCS models (.pmg) straight from the Base.scs files.
- Conversion Tools - used by Blender Tools and used to convert mid-format files (.pim) into SCS game ready formats (.pmg).
I have used ConverterPixWrapper to import an SCS model into Blender Tools which as far as i can tell worked successfully so as far as i can tell my issue is not with ConverterPix at all instead the issue must be with Conversion Tools.

Re: Syntax Error when click Pack Mod
So I have tried using the 'Convert Current SCS Project' button instead of the 'Pack Mod' button and I get the exact same screen with the exact same error messages.
Edit: Update:
I've also tried re-extracting the base and def SCS files, running them through converter pix but I still get the exact same issue.

Re: Syntax Error when click Pack Mod
Do you have your mod files in the same directory as the base files?
If so that's probably the issue.
When making a mod, place all of your files in a separate directory, that way the conversion/pack process will only attempt to manipulate your mod files and not the entire base structure.

Re: Syntax Error when click Pack Mod
Yes i do. I did try changing it so that they are seperate but when changing the export path i got an error message saying that the export path has to be the same or inside the scs project base path.
