How to work with mover groups in Blender?

#1 Post by EvgenKo423 » 27 Nov 2021 11:05

There is a wiki page about mover groups: Mover model group.

How do you tweak such groups?
The direct way would be something like:
  1. Import some character model;
  2. Import character animation;
  3. Import the animation prop;
  4. Attach the prop to model bones;
  5. Apply the prop transforms from mover_anim_props.sii;
  6. Tweak and export the model/animation;
  7. Write out the prop transforms (if also tweaked) and correct the record in mover_anim_props.sii.
Is there a simple way to make the 3-5 steps with Blender Tools? The problem is I can't figure out how to make the 4-5 steps correctly.
I tried to apply the transforms along with parenting the prop to the bone (Object Properties -> Relations), with the Copy Transforms constraint, Before Original and After Original, but the result never looks right...

For example:
  1. /model/mover/characters/models/generic/m_white_01.pmd
  2. /model/mover/characters/animations/man/work/photo_man.pma
  3. /model/mover/props/indepedent/photo_camera.pmd:

    Code: Select all

    mover_anim_props : mover_props.photo.camera
    {
    	model: "/model/mover/props/indepedent/photo_camera.pmd"
    	bone_a: lefthand
    	bone_offset_a: (0.0, 0.0, 0.0)
    	model_offset: (-0.1, 0.0, -0.03)
    	model_rotation: (35.0, -10.0, 158.0)
    }
