Re: Mountain becoming larger on smaller from different views
Does it seem like it is being drawn on or erased from the background as you move closer or farther away from the mountain? That happens on my system, and it seems to be tied to available memory. If I start the game with a bunch of windows open, particularly Firefox with a very busy website open, it's worse than if I open the game with no windows open. But unfortunately, it happens either way. So I have developed a habit of closing everything I can before I start the game.

Re: Mountain becoming larger on smaller from different views
Having applications running in the background may to decrease performance, (*cough* *cough* Google Chrome) but it won't change the render distance of the game.

I totally agree with you, although I have plenty of memory and play on 64 bits ETS2 version, I also created the habit of shutting down most of the software including the hidden ones before playing. Just open the Task Manager and check the bunch of things running behind the scenes on Windows...Axel Slingerland wrote:So I have developed a habit of closing everything I can before I start the game.

It happens to me too (not only in Scandinavia), even having strong PC, with no other applications running in the background. I guess it's just a matter of poor game engine.
Re: Mountain becoming larger on smaller from different views
Alex, which memory? RAM or GPU memory? I have 8gbs of ram and 2gb ddr5 on gpu. I think it may be something with limited drawing distance from editor. Only thing i use whilst i play ets2 is one tab of Chrome for radio. Coz it ain't comfortable listening to GPU fans running at 70%.
Everything that is not needed i always shut down.
Bumbumek, i guess it can be fixed. Just team needs to see what's the problem, i guess it is nothing big.

Do you really have to do that? It's getting really old...bumbumek wrote:I guess it's just a matter of poor game engine.
Please, call me Ax. Everyone does...Tihomir wrote:Alex, which memory? RAM or GPU memory?
To answer your question, I don't know. It just works better if I close off all unnecessary programs before I start the game. It also only does that in some places, and not others. I can't tell you why in either case...
