But I would like to see an actual picture of the real thing to see if it does look this way in the actual trucks mirrors.

What exactly are you trying to say?

Are you are saying that you should not be able to see the sides of the cab?

The images in the mirrors are indeed showing what's behind you and they are also picking up the sides of the cab because that's what the mirror is actually reflecting at that particular angle, if you press F4 twice you will be able to adjust that angle and then you would see either more or less of the side of the cab depending on whether you angled the mirrors in or out.

You don't really need to see all that anyway. Look at the image Reef posted. If you really want to see all that, maybe try adjusting your mirrors (Press F4 a couple of times while driving)
