Tag axle bug.

#1 Post by Ollie1982 » 09 Jun 2015 14:19

On a 6x2 you have a liftable rearaxle with 2 double set of wheels. I have noticed in both 1.17 and 1.18 upodate a rather annoying little bug. When you in real life lift the tagaxle, the suspension on the other rearaxle is also lifting a bit to compensate for the tag being lifted and all the weight are put on one axle.. this is not happening in game.. when i lift my axle in game, the trucks just keep on lowering,so the tagaxle is looking like it is still on the ground even though it is lifted.. I may be picky here, but these small details do so much to the game and the feel of realism.. at this point this is actually the only thing i can put my finger on that is wrong.. Oh. Another minor thing is the possibility to have a tire that is smaller in diametre on the tagaxle A job well done by you SCS guys :) Fantastic game!!

Providing pictures so my point is easier to understand since my english is rather shaky :)

look here at the tag axle... you can clearly see it is higher on the rear axle still on the ground when the tagaxle is lifted.

You can also see on the mudflap on the bumper how much lower it gets when tagaxle is lifted..
I have tried in both vanilla style and with mods.. no difference.

Only SCS know that. Remember, they don't reply directly to every suggestion/report. You have presented your report. I'm sure someone from SCS has seen it already. I'd suggest you just leave it at that.

And the midlift anymation is wrong the last axle the pusher one lifts a bit too, maybe i should creat a new treadh?
By the way the E6 tag axle handling is horrible its very hard to drive...
What a Lovely Day... !

The 6x2/4 setup is not one that you see here in Australia, so I won't make too many assumptions, however when the front pusher/middle axle is down it clearly steers a little, which makes sense although all the related steering components must be a nightmare as far as cost/maintenance goes. BUT when that axle is lifted it stays straight and doesn't steer. Is this how this setup works irl? Does the steering on that axle somehow disconnect? Or should it still turn slightly but this hasn't been included in the game?
Is it too much to ask to have the vanilla SCS companies on the AI truck traffic???

What is the point of choosing a company name and logo when it's not used in the game???

In 20 years of trucking IRL I've never reversed a tanker onto a dock

Driver080: No this is not how it is IRL... IRL the pusher axle still turn its wheels even though it is lifted,so this is also a fault by SCS..

CristianoH125: you are totally right about this.
