Misplaced Sign Lublin

#1 Post by Reece » 04 Jul 2015 05:53

Not sure where to post this but I noticed an 'End of speed limit' sign entering a town, no map mods:

Code: Select all

Misplaced end of speed limit sign ; [04/07/2015 15:09] (sec+0010-0002);42776.1;78.185;-4456.78

Edit: This may be by design for some reason as it is the same in Poznan, maybe that sign means something else in Poland than here in Australia. :?

Code: Select all

End of limit sign ; [04/07/2015 16:06] (sec+0005-0003);23773.2;-4.79437;-10137.4

All EU traffic laws are the same, and I see the speed limit sign ahead so I think it is supposed to be like that.

Why would you cancle a speedlimit (if that sign is there because of that) if a few meters ahead a new one begins?
And probably some space ago the speedlimit of 50 should have been in effect after passing the Town Entry sign....at least here that means that the speedlimit is 50 if not signed out with a higher one after town entry.

I thought hat sign meant national speed limit :? (Well, at least it does in the UK) Can anyone from Poland confirm that that sign in its place is correct?

Polish guy here. Well, the traffic law in Poland is complicated especially in the case of speed limits. Not as in the rest od EU speed limit is cancelled by the intersection. That means that if on some road or street speed limit is above or under the normal after each intersection should be speed limit sign. Also 50 kmph limit in built-up area is only valid within signs D-42* (Built-up area) and D-43* (End of built-up area).

If you are interested in Polish speed limits look at the weirdest sign I've ever seen. It's placed at every Poland border road entrance.

Feel free to ask me about Polish Traffic Law.
