For Beginners: For anyone who wishes to utilize the cheat codes, please read this !

NOTE: These instructions for using cheat codes is & are for: 18 Wheels of Steel - American Long Haul !

FIRST: The files you will be editing for 18 WoS - ALH are:

1. "config.cfg" (located in the following filepath FOR WINDOWS USERS: C:\Users\USERNAME\Documents\18 WoS American Long Haul),

&

2. the "game.sii" file (located in the following filepath FOR WINDOWS USERS: C:\Users\USERNAME\Documents\18 WoS American Long Haul\save).

When any new or existing 18 WoS - ALH game is saved, within those folders, the "game.sii" file will be present.

In order to, without corrupting these files, the "config.cfg" file can be successfully edited with a software program called [simply]: "Free Editor".
To get this software, WINDOWS USERS, please go to this web link: https://free-editor.en.uptodown.com/windows to download it,
(FOR FREE - NO TRIAL PERIOD), on your windows pc device.

As for the other file, [without corrupting it], the: "game.sii" can be successfully opened with your "Notepad" program within your start menu,
(START MENU - All Programs - Accessories:).

ONCE YOU HAVE INSTALLED THE "Free Editor" SOFTWARE & BEFORE YOU USE ANY & ALL CHEAT CODES:

Open the "config.cfg" using the "Free Editor" program & within you will see a 2 page spread of "uset" value commands.

Change the line which reads:
uset g_console "0"
to:
uset g_console "1".

&

then within your "game.sii" file, you can start to enjoy editing command lines for "enhanced game playing".

If you are like me who probably will want to immediately disable the police & fatigue settings (HENCE BEING THAT THEY ARE ANNOYING), change the following command lines:

POLICE / Disabling the Police Activity:
Change:

uset g_police "1"

to

uset g_police "0", and

FATIGUE / Disabling Fatigue:
Change:

uset g_fatigue "1"

to

uset g_fatigue "0"
