Not actually of vital importance, more of a "something i stumbled on that might be of interest".
The files at "/material/flags/?.dds" are incorrect.

swe_01.dds

nor_01.dds
[ external image ]

Might look right in game, i haven't gone so far to check that.

On a similar topic, why are the flag animations in Scandinavia DLC different to those in the original map and Going East?
Without video, the difference can't be seen, but the original flag animations are way smoother and more realistic than the latest animations for the Scan. DLC which look as if they've been accidentally washed in a mixture of starch and cement hardener.

Well, I think it depends on who you ask. I know a lot of people around here who would be very upset if the California flag was swapped for the Arizona flag... California being a "Blue" state and Arizona being a "Red" state. I know it isn't the same there, but you get my point I'm sure.

Yep, I wondered about that myself. I like the old ones better too, and tried to swap them out, which failed miserably as you might guess. Sounds like a good topic for a suggestion with a Poll to gauge interest. Or maybe it's something a good modeler could do?

What i mean is, i would assume it looks correct in game so it's not of vital importance in that aspect. I don't recall seeing a Norwegian flag in Sweden and vise versa in game.

But since you mentioned it. This is the model that uses the swe_01.dds texture.

So essentially, the model uses the correct texture with the incorrect file name. Which confirms my suspicions that this isn't of vital importance.

Blue and Yellow is Swedish. Red, White and Blue is Norwegian.

All 3 flags, Denmark, Sweden and Norway is placed right beside each other at the border between Denmark and Germany.
While they are used beside each other, you will not notice the difference. I don't recall seeing them anywhere else.
