Sun is from North [NOT A BUG]
Sun is from North [NOT A BUG]
When sunrise and set, it's crearly coming from North.
Since Europe is far north from Northern Tropic, the sun should always comming form South.
I did doubt if it's the problem of Magnetic/True north, but since this shows both on sunrise and sunset, that's not the problem

Re: Sun is from North
Funny, I always thought that the sun rises in the East and sets in the West?

Jun 21st is the 172nd day of the year (the day the sun is modeled after in game)
Look at the arrows. The run rises in the North East in Stockholm (mid Scandinavia) and sets in the North West.
EDIT: Mind you, i actually count Finland as Scandinavia... And i don't count Iceland or Greenland.

My bad, seems I need to do more homework on Apparent Motions of the Sun

Yeah, since i felt like actually looking at how accurate it was in the beta, i took a bunch of screenshots.

It is frighteningly accurate. Even down to the sun being straight south at 13:00 rather than 12:00 (because DST is in effect)

Yeah, go a bit more to the north and it never sets.
Then you will see it in the north for sure.

Re: Sun is from North [NOT A BUG]
When I drive from Odense to Copenhagen IRL, then I have the sun direct into my face in the morning..
So your second picture could not be more real, than it actually shows.
And I would claim that I drive heading East and not North when I am driving from Odense to Copenhagen.

Um i found it very unrealistic when i was up north and that i was looking at time and it said 2:40 AM and the sunrise was there....wtf? is it really that soon the sunrise in real life there? ..cuz you know..its a simulator..
like i thought it was sunset instead of sunrise :/

Yes. And if you go even further north, you don't even get a night at mid-summer. Heck, in Bergen (NO), you already have "white nights"; the sun is down, but it doesn't get dark; the sun just remains low below the horizon.
You also get extended twilight times, since the sun sets at a more flat angle.
