For starters, what does your command line look like?

I followed these instructions, because my game was lagging after updating it. I have a non steam version of the game. I put in the Target box, (after the program files/ets2 etc) -64bit -home dir "C:\trucksim"

I forgot to move the contents of the my documents folder into c drive before I started the game.
I set up the new profile on the game and came out of it.
I copied and replaced the newly created files in the truck sim folder on c drive, with my backed up save games and all the files from the original my documents folder.
But my saved game doesn't show up! There's no games in the load/save menu or in the profile section.
Can someone please help me?

What does your folder structure look like in "C:\trucksim" ?

Everything in the "Euro Truck simulator 2" folder under "my documents" should be copied over to your new "trucksim" folder. Such that you end up with...

Code: Select all

c:\trucksim\editor
c:\trucksim\mod
c:\trucksim\music
c:\trucksim\online
c:\trucksim\profiles
c:\trucksim\screenshot

etc

There is no space. -homedir

The game will then create a new "Euro Truck Simulator 2" folder in c:\trucksim.

c:\trucksim\editor
c:\trucksim\mod
c:\trucksim\music
c:\trucksim\online

In the Trucksim folder it is:

Cache
mod
music
online
preview_profiles
Profiles
Profiles (1.12.1).bak
Profiles (1.33.19).bak
Screenshot
Steam_profiles

That's all the folders. Then i have:

.history.sii
activation.scb
backups
config
game.crash
game.log
inventory_item_data.sii
Key.scb
live_streams.sii
mods_info.sii
net
news.sii
readme.rtf

I didn't put a space between home and dir

You did here.

(edit)
The game should have created a "Euro Truck Simulator 2" folder in C:\trucksim. I am still using 1.31, tested 1.33 & the game still uses "Euro Truck Simulator 2" folder. The game will not read files from C:\trucksim, they have to be in a "Euro Truck Simulator 2".

  -nointro -unlimitedlog -64bit -homedir "D:\MODDADE SPEL" 8-)

my setup for one of my profiles... in the folder MODDADE SPEL it creates the Euro Truck Simulator 2 with all of its content

btw .. you haven't activated the Steam Cloud option for the profiles :?:

Question: is there a command line option to force the game to start in DirectX instead of OpenGL ?
