Tag <font> have another one parameter "spacing", so you can increase or decrease space between characters (glyphs) for example
<font face=/font/big.font xscale=4 yscale=4 spacing=30>
Typically "spacing" can be from 10 up to 100 values or you can try any other.
I use this parameter for Mercedes MP3 custom dashboard.

Hi Piva, I know this is an old Guide, and Im not sure you will respond! Ive only just started to use ETS2 over the past few weeks, although I have owned the software for quite a while. My problem is my eye sight, its not very good at all, especially when trying to see the speedometer and read the computer controls. I saw your tutorial and thought, this is brilliant, just what I need, It could help me to increase the font size of the control panel text. This would make the game more enjoyable and less frustrating when going over the speed limit.

Ive downloaded your example and dropped it into my MOD folder and it worked great in ETS2. The problem is that when I extract and edit the file (increase the font size) using Notepad++ and then compress it again, It is failing to load! and Im just seeing the original trucks computer.

Ive ensured the encoding is correct too. Im using winrar and 7Zip, but neither seem to make any difference. Would you be able to tell me what Im missing? Im on a windows 10 machine if that helps at all. I would really appreciate hearing from you.

Thanks

Just to say that I followed Cadde's guide on getting started with Modding (viewtopic.php?f=172&t=189533) and it made a huge difference in me being able to understand your guide. So big thanks to you both.

Has anyone found out how to properly use ui_gauge ? I haven't found anything when looking in the dashboards of base trucks.
From the wording, I suppose this makes a digital "meter" and "needle", but I am not sure.

Maybe there is some truck that uses this in ATS, but I do not have ATS...

Hi, I have a question.
How can I increase the texture quality on the dashboard?
The texture was of high quality but it doesn't look good in game.

You can't, afaik. I think dashboard texture is limited to 800x800 or something. I have also noticed this when trying to make a "full screen" dashboard.

@piva Hey mate could you explain how to do a vertical turbo bar? I really want to add one to my current dashboard but not sure how to make it vertical rather than horizontal.

Omg, that is so obvious I feel like a dunce for asking lmao.

(For others - Switch the H of "H~~0~~1" to a V; IE "V~~0~~1" to get it vertical)
