How to make Abass wheels paintable w/ game mechanic?

SCS as a company do not wish to have paid mods on this forum. instead of the left texture, use the right one

compere them and then replace the names in the corresponding .mat files where you added .pain

What is the right texture? If it's just grey then it would not help.
Iam not worried about the colorful rims anymore since i changed the grey ones and now i can color them, but not in white, the brightest you can get is the grey texture.
But since i have a skin for the hubs with white texture i can color the hubs from white to anything else i want
In theory i need a wheel skin in white with no two tone and no text now to make it work:?

the right texture is the ambient occlusion texture that is used to fake shadows, if you just use a plain white texture it would look stupid, use this and the painted wheels will look normal, may be a bit darker but better then the color grade

i use them for the painted wheels i made out of this mod

Yeah thats grey, we would need white.
I made a picture of how the hubs can look when the base texture is white, now you can paint in whatever color you want them
Also the top right picture are ingame black painted Maxions. I can also make them red or green, but not as bright, since base texture is grey
All other steel wheels are base grey texture...

abass has 1 textures it looks like, i used the more gray one, i change them all to the more whitish one and the difference is not so big anymore

Hmm, that not the thing you want when you want complete white wheels. Might work if you want bright red or green wheels, but if you want perfect snow white (or really eye rape bright red, yellow, pink) wheels you would need a white custom skin and the edited files Abass said earlier :?

what I did ... kept both textures ... the left one (rainbow) I made white as mentioned...looks pretty white to me
