It seems that if you have Iberia DLC and use the Background Map mod 'ETS2_LAMB_EU-AF-AS-OC_PLAIN_BG' that the viewpoints will not display on the world map. Perhaps a fix needed similar to 'Background_Map_Viewpoint_Fix_for_ATS_v1.39.scs' (or is there already one and I haven't found it...) ? Have not yet tested with other BG Map mods (and otherwise using RoEX + Turkey + Rusmap + Volga currently). Cheers.

As viewpoints are a new feature and the background mod is quite old (although it luckily still works) the background mod I use is not adjusted yet for viewpoints. Maybe there is a newer version of the background mod that does contain a setting for viewpoints. I will check later this day.
If the newest version of the background mod doesn't contain the correct setting for viewpoints, I could certainly make a similar fix for the ETS2 background mod.

<edit 1> I made a fix for the missing viewpoint error. See first post.

<edit 2> ProMods 2.52 is not compatible with Iberia. All other map mods should be compatible with Iberia, although I haven't check that. To use the other map mods, use the Eurasia / Global load order without ProMods and all ProMods related map mods.

Re: Iberia w/out Promods, I had issues with Sibiria Map and Great Steppe as well - they would load, you could drive, but I kept getting false 'you discovered a viewpoint' messages in Sibiria and it messed with orientation of world map, so eventually I disabled them. Same goes for Southern Region, I could never get past the long load times even with the patch...

What's working well for me so far at least while waiting for Iberia compatible Promods Update is the following load order. Happy trails!

how come southern region model 2 in first post is 10.0 my still says 9.0 even though i downloaded new version
