Grinding gears timing could be more realistic

Shifting has 4 steps/stages:
1) Press the clatch
2) Shift lever
3) New gear gets registered by the game
4) Release the clutch

Currently grinding happens at stage 4, and I think it would be more realistic at stage 3

I agree with you but I think it is a wish than a bug.

Sometimes a hear a grind sound when I engage first gear and start release the clutch.

I drive real trucks and for me it is big deal. Even at stage 3 it is late, because really it should happen at stage 2. I realize it would be difficult/impossible to code for stage 2.

And the related issue is:
When releasing clutch too fast it should cause the truck to jerk.
