Disappearing AI bug [FIXED]

Leaving Stockholm and going around the large Roundabout, the AI traffic disappears just as they reach the street intersection.

The map has a blue dot on the place they disappear.

Confirmed in 1.22 first official release. AI traffic coming from the road behind the trailer (see picture) disappears when next prefab is entered. Coordinates are:

I am not using the clean vanilla map, so UIDs may be different. But Scandinavia DLC sectors were never touched and are a fresh copy from 1.22 base as of today. Only the usual map conversion following the modding instructions took place.

If I enable "Show in UI map" for the nearby nodes at the fringe of the "Crossroad traffic area" (I have also moved that boundaries a bit) everything is back to normal.

The traffic is also disappearing at several intersections in the game! In some cases, by looking to one side in a crossroad, if it appears a vehicle coming toward us, after look at the other side of the crossing, this vehicle disappears!! After that, no vehicle appears at the intersection, even standing still for several minutes!!

Below is an example of intersection where these problems occur! On top of the viaduct, traffic is regular, but on the track that passes under the viaduct, no traffic appears! And when it appears, disappears after we look at the other side of the road!!

Despite the earlier example, which happens when roads meets prefabs and could indeed be done wrong in the map editing process, this whole area you show in your picture is constituted by one single prefab.

I never saw a vehicle vanish while it is still located within the boundaries of a prefab, and it shouldn't be possible. At least this is my experience from all the years with this game.

Im pretty sure something is wrong. With a mod, your system, your game installation, whatever. What I try to say: This shouldn't happen with the vanilla game, and I never saw any posting indicating such problem.

The issue that dionialex1988 mentioned is actually a feature used to reduce CPU load. Namely the CPU doesn't need to compute the mentioned cars route and assets if they are not seen on screen. That's my idea on the issue, feel free to correct me.

That's odd, because I have completed 80% to 90% of the map twice in 1.22 and have never seen anything like that anywhere. I have mods, but none are maps.

May be my mid-class-system with medium-to-high settings (3.4 GHz quad, NVIDIA GTX 670) is powerful enough that it virtually never needs to discard nearby vehicles? Can't remember to have seen such ever, on a prefab. Any other case was an error in my map, and could be fixed. And I look around all the time, because I use TrackIR.

My own map mod shenanigans are more demanding than the original, traffic is increased by large, and some hand-picked or own mods are there, too. Sometimes, especially in a few cities at night, I get noticeable lags.

Can't say for sure, but I still think this reeks of a damaged PPD in a modded prefab.

Maybe someone who has reliable knowledge can shed some light on this. If there is such a feature - or not.

I have a high end PC but I too see AI disappearing. I cannot remember where, but saw that in many places. However I do have ProMods 2 and RusMap on so who knows...

Looks similar to vanishing pedestrians, also very common (way more).
