Re: [1.9] Scania Drivetrain Revision
Thanks for the answer, and yes, the files were saved an d updated.
Re: [1.9] Scania Drivetrain Revision
Found the reason for "no changes" in engine def file.
In the def file of the engine are in the beginning 2 lines with "scr or egs" or something like that.
After deleting those lines it works, the engine changes work without any problem now.
thanks for the help.

They should be after a "#" or "*" so the game doesn't read them.

It's written like that in Galimim files :

I know that this lines were normally off, but it worked after removing them.
I don't know why, maybe its something that has to do with 1.28 to 1.3 connectivity?
I do know those signs from cad/cam where you use them aswell to overwrite lines or make them unread.

Re: [1.9] Scania Drivetrain Revision
Hi galimim,
I found 2 little things:
-) only Scania R&S 2016: the 580 hp-engine have 3000Nm instead of 2950Nm
-) only Scania R&S 2016: the 650 hp-engine uses the grso925-gearboxes instead of grso905
Maybe you can change this in one of your future updates.

Re: [1.9] Scania Drivetrain Revision
Which gearbox should I use for heavy cargoes (manual)? One more thing I can't find simple answer to: what is exactly opticruise and can it be used together with manual gearbox?
I believe opticruise have something to do with automats.

Re: [1.9] Scania Drivetrain Revision
Hi,
Opticruise is the automatic gearbox.
The gearboxes itself have the same name (like GRS 905R) whether manual or automatic
IRL scania mostly use 3.80 diff ratio for 6x4 and 3,96 or 4,22 for 8x4, but you can also use other gearboxes.
IRL It´s recommened to have a higher diff ratio for a better start-up behaviour

Re: [1.9] Scania Drivetrain Revision
@scaniar620 that's because for both Opticruise and Manual gearboxes, they are the exact same model for Scania down to the ratios, with the difference being how you use them.
All the others (Mercedes, Volvo Group and ZF Transmissions) use different ratios between manual and automated gearboxes, but Scania does not.
