SCS as a company do not wish to have paid mods on this forum. While we understand that not all paid mods use the Intellectual Property of other companies/people, it is very hard to moderate what is and isn't acceptable when money is involved. There are also concerns that it could look unfavorable to potential work partners going forward if SCS allow mods that may potentially use unlicensed branding.

well as they were a staple feature of my mod manager I also hope so, however I think we wont have to wait long. We will see in good time

I know a lot of you are waiting for it so I wanted to add a small update about the state of the mod in 1.40.
Everything below is subject to change.
2. Current unedited light-masks in 1.40

Everything below is subject to change.
- Mod in general works, no crashes/warnings/errors etc.
- Positional lights:Light-masks need adjustments since in 1.40 they are very "contrasty", picture below.
- Hi-beams: Light-masks are generally OK but a bit washed out.
- The biggest issue: The blue/yellow shine you know from the current version is basically invisible now. The flare effect works close to other objects but we're talking about 3-5 meters now, now matter the setup for the flares.

Still can't find a great spot for the light mask, so I had to take a step back and do something else.
So I made some light bulbs.

Those will replace existing ones.

Just put the light mask only on tungsten wire
What about put two flares? One will reflect on to the reflector and the second one will face the normal direction?
I'm impressed with the details!

Some in-game WIP shots. Outside of the new bulbs, I also replaced the old cables with new single one and fixed some small bugs. Glass needs some tweaking still since it renders differently in 1.40, as almost everything involving lights .
Leaving flares for last since that's mostly tweaking sizes now.
