You can make the texture as big as you want as long as the dimensions are the same as the source if you divide it by 2, 4, 8 etc. If the texture doesn't appear ingame something isn't right with the texture itself (wrong format etc.)

@vad&k it is especially about the license plate for Austria. In the dds file the license plate holder and the license plate itself are stored.
With Paint.net I enlarged the file to 4k size and added a 4k texture to the license plate holder and the license plate itself. I saved it as dds with dxt5 format and overwrote the file in your mod with it. Then I got the license plate front and back as purple texture. When I changed the whole size of my modified file back to the original size with Paint.net everything was displayed correctly but rather blurred in contrast to the truck itself. Because I play on 4k resolution it is noticeable. Especially with photos.

The .dds textures supplied in the License Plate Pack are 512 x 256 px.
I got nice results with custom textures at 1024 x 512 px (which is 4x the original .dds size).

I don't see the need to go all the way to "4K" texture size for good quality license plates.

if these trucks are built on the basis of default trucks, then the mod should work now. But I did not check.

And I would be very happy if Donovan returned to modding.
