Make sure to save it as a .dds file, and choose DXT5 in the options menu when saving. This is what works in paint.net and should also work in GIMP

At a minimum, you need to show screenshots of what you are trying to do.

When all else fails I use Paint.NET. It's the only reason I have it installed.

After a while, I finally got the mod working. I can finally edit the plates correctly.

Thanks for the help everyone. I really appreciate it.

Also, Next time if I have trouble again with this mod, I'll make sure to add an screenshot and some additional info so that it doesn't get confusing next time.

does here any chance to get these number plates on custom bumpers from SCS tuning DLCs, at least DAF one from your mod?

@sminakov, I don’t remember exactly, but for some reason I couldn’t get this mod to work on the bumpers from the DLC.
Perhaps I need to return to this issue once again.
In addition, Donovan was engaged in the main development and testing of the mod. Now he’s retired, and I just keep this mod working and in rare cases add new functionality.

you need to make a model that is offset to fit the bumper from the DLCs, accessories cant have accessory nodes, so if you add f_lp to the bumper it only will work for hookups, not for accessories

Technically, dlc bumpers are no different from default bumpers. There the reason is different, I just don’t remember what exactly.
