[Rel] DAF 2021 Plastic Grilles

SCS as a company do not wish to have paid mods on this forum. While we understand that not all paid mods use the Intellectual Property of other companies/people, it is very hard to moderate what is and isn't acceptable when money is involved. There are also concerns that it could look unfavorable to potential work partners going forward if SCS allow mods that may potentially use unlicensed branding.

Could you please add the DAF XG/XG+ badges and logo's as well? (decals_c.dds file pretty much)
Would be awesome as I am planning to use those myself (and yes, I will be asking the Mod Studio 2 team to add that to the XML list along with the rest of the parts you supplied)

Thanks for this mod, well worth it!

decals_c.dds is used for the headlights, there is no badge missing on the truck

I means all engine badges turned into paintable versions as well as the DAF logo's itself.

I tried making that XML I was talking about, but I had no luck so far.
I managed to get it to get listed, but it doesn't seem to link to the file leaving the paint job to act as normal (show base color only or entire main paint job file)
If anyone can help me out with this, I'd love to receive the help. Really can use that file to make my paint jobs work as intended.

those badges are all just textures, they cant be painted via paintjob system, they can only take base color and only if the textures are made for it wich they arent

I'm aware of that, wish to prepare in advance. Bound to be someone that makes it so you can deactivate them or repaint them.

I think i stumbled upon a big, when i opt for the painted fenders (the lower part) the rear lights no longer reflect on the ground

Not sure what might be causing that, I basically just switched the material of the fender out for paint instead of plastic. I'll have a look in a bit.

You need to check all your uvs as your not set up right for metallic paints etc .

I didn't actually make any UVs, I just changed the material to the "carpaint" version, which works for regular metallic paint and most of the mask skins. I don't know how I'd go about making the required UVs for the tiled texture paintjobs like the carbon fiber stuff.

Thats the problem you cant just swap the texture out without reworking the UV's . Base and nmap only need UV_0 and UV_1 . Paint takes UV_0 , UV_1 & UV_2 , Nmap then lives on UV_3 . Rename UV_1 to UV_3 . Then make sure UV_0 is sized and mapped to the right position . Once thats done dupe the uv twice and set as UV_1 UV_2 .

Then it will look right .
