[Rel] DAF 2021 Plastic Grilles

SCS as a company do not wish to have paid mods on this forum. While we understand that not all paid mods use the Intellectual Property of other companies/people, it is very hard to moderate what is and isn't acceptable when money is involved. There are also concerns that it could look unfavorable to potential work partners going forward if SCS allow mods that may potentially use unlicensed branding.

Short answer: No.

Long answer: I would have separate the doors from both the cab exterior and the cab interior, construct entire new doors for both sides (because UK versions would also need new doors), and then do the interior door cards as well. That goes way beyond my level of skill with blender. I believe it is *technically* possible for SCS to pull it off, as they have access to the proper references and materials, and I can sort of see how to make it change both the interior and exterior (you'd set the interior up to override which door style), but I wouldn't get my hopes up waiting for it to happen.

Version 1.0.3 now available, with added definitions to make the sunvisors (both SCS versions and the extra paint versions from this mod) visible from inside the cab. Link in the first post.

Note: from this version onwards, file name will contain version number, which means you can't just replace it in the mod folder and run the game.

I *tried* to get it uploaded to the workshop, but apparently my Automat folder is "contaminated" with some stuff that's not strictly necessary, or so the uploader seems to think.

You're not the only one. Sadly, it seems to be a game engine limitation, the GPS panel only renders at a preset resolution and because the XG's GPS screen is a lot bigger than usual it's more obvious that the resolution is low.

Sorry, that's beyond my skill and resources. We don't know basically anything about the 6x2 midlift chassis other than that it exists, and I'd have to make a bunch of parts from scratch which I don't know how to do, or copy-and-paste inaccurate parts from another chassis, which I wouldn't be happy with releasing. Basically.... wait for SCS to make one.

After they *have* made one, I can probably see my way around modifying the length and stuff, but I need the parts to exist first and they just don't... :(

No problem some day someone will make a midlift chassis i hope scs doesnt take too long for theirs
