DAF XG-XG+-XD Tuning Pack v1.1.3

SCS as a company do not wish to have paid mods on this forum. While we understand that not all paid mods use the Intellectual Property of other companies/people, it is very hard to moderate what is and isn't acceptable when money is involved. There are also concerns that it could look unfavorable to potential work partners going forward if SCS allow mods that may potentially use unlicensed branding.

I'm not sure what you mean @zebulon . Of course the link has changed because it's a new version.
Re: DAF XG-XG+ Tuning Pack v1.1.1
I think he means that the Mod-Pack isn´t packed as a zip-archive.
If you open the "big"-zip with both (Windows and Mac) versions in it, the packs themselves are only folders and not zip-archives.

@NemesysTrans like @mattes96 says : "the packs themselves are only folders and not zip-archives." and i don't know how to use your new update . Sorry
Re: DAF XG-XG+ Tuning Pack v1.1.1
@NemesysTrans I see what the problem is . You need to repack your mod . Put everything in the tuning pack folder into a zip file . It will work as a folder in the mod folder but its easier for most people to have it in zip .

Ok, I must be dumb, I don't really understand...
When I download it from sharedmods, I get a zip that is automatically extracted. If I put the resulting folder into the mod folder, it seems to work. So, I don't understand the problem, maybe because I'm not on Windows...

Re: DAF XG-XG+ Tuning Pack v1.1.1
the problem is that you made the mod a folder, this might be ok if you are a modder and you test the mods but if you distribute mods you should .zip them all up and compress (but not sounds) so they dont take up space on users drives, so you are not supposed to .zip up the mod folder, you are supposed to .zip up the contents of the folder so people can just drop the .zip into the mod folder
that has nothing to do with Windows, Linux or macOS

Re: DAF XG-XG+ Tuning Pack v1.1.1
I fixed the mod package, now the zip directly into the mod folder should work.
Re: DAF XG-XG+ Tuning Pack v1.1.1
Yet. SCS never did released or updated the daf XG and XG+ tuning pack as i hoped they would. Or even updating the older stuff that may could be used on the new ones when it comes to the interior parts.
However,
I do understand they do need some license from the original founder of the daf factory.
For the renault the same. It took a very bit of time after the release of the new t-revolution truck, As they came with an amazing pack for it. For which i am very, Very loved with.
So yeah. I hope somewhere SCS software is sure going to do something amazing again for daf, and maybe another trucks also, such as man, iveco, and bring out packs for them.
