Traffic density and speedlimits for 1.36 [2019-12-4]

Forum rules
SCS as a company do not wish to have paid mods on this forum. While we understand that not all paid mods use the Intellectual Property of other companies/people, it is very hard to moderate what is and isn't acceptable when money is involved. There are also concerns that it could look unfavorable to potential work partners going forward if SCS allow mods that may potentially use unlicensed branding.

Thanks to @cip for some parameters of traffic_data file/

This pack contain:
- traffic density and speedlimits for 1.36
- doubles in traffic for 1.36 - spawn in some countries with countries trailers skins
- emergency vehicles with beacon lights only (no specific sound)
- scs trailers, that scs forgot or don't want add to traffic, like a cement mixer, overweight trailers, some new trailers with new cargo
- ETRC event trailers in traffic

I promise to share this traffic for my friends. So, please no requests.
I don't say that this mod better than Cip traffic mod - this mod another... :lol:

This pack contain:
- traffic density and speedlimits for 1.35
- doubles in traffic for 1.35 - spawn in some countries with countries trailers skins
- emergency vehicles with beacon lights
- tractor in traffic with very rare frequency
- scs trailers, that scs forgot or don't want add to traffic, like a cement mixer, overweight trailers, some new trailers with new cargos
- ETRC event trailers in traffic

PS. I don't use other maps than SCS, so I don't test this mods on other maps mods.

EDIT. I'm sorry, when I make photo for emergency cars, I forgot restore spawn reatio back. :lol:

Fixed traffic_rule for missed rule
Fixed special transport for compatible with Todor Alin tractor mod.
Also fixed tractor addon for same compatible.
Todor Alin mod does not have special transport in traffic_vehicle_type.
Special Fix for Todor Alin tractor mod added to my mod pack, must have high priority than Todor Alin mod.

2018-6-10

New version of traffic density and speedlimims mod.

This mod and addons do not use additional vehicles types.

I must use special parameters for traffic_data file, because SCS did something wrong
with traffic spawn algorithm, so now this mod is not working as I want to see it in game.

Now I made base mod and some addons for it.
Base mod now do not contain tractor in traffic by default, now it in separate addon

Known problems
- Sometime you can drive on empty roads, even I set 60 cars and 18 trucks, and I don't know where it's all?
- Some vehicles can stop without reason, rare but it happens
- Vehicles can quickly change lanes without reasons
- Traffic still slow down near small gas stations, because SCS still not fix priority lane for this prefab
- Some of rare vehicles like a tractor or emergency cars can spawn too often, after game restart this issue may be fixed or not.

Also pack contain addons
- doubles trailers in traffic in Scandinavia, Germany, Belgium, Neitherlands and in France and Italy with skins of it DLCs
not additional vehicles types used for this addon. Addon priority not matter.
- harvester (with low probaility) and tractor with beacons lights and smoke. This addon must have high priority to base mod. Must spawn very rare. DLC France is required.
- Emergency cars like a ambulance, firetruck, escort vans and roadworks vans in traffic with beacons lights on or off.
this addon uses new "overrides" and still not use additional vehicles types. Priority - not matter. Must spawn rare.
- SCS hidden trailers like an cement mixer with animation, empty car and truck transporters, empty log trailers and so on. Priority not matter.
"DLC - High Power Cargo Pack" and "DLC - Schwarzmuller trailers" is required for this addon (dlc_dependencies added to manifest)

Be warning.
If you use SiSL traffic trailers pack, you may not see this SCS trailers in traffic, because SiSL pack contain more that 1100 trailers, my pack have only 7 tailers with overall 50 variants, so 7/1100 - and you may never see it in traffic. :lol:

also traffic mod fixes spawn ratio for cars with camper trailers, new dumper, crane and mixer trucks, fixed speed on some cars or vans (not all)
Tourliner bus spawn ratio is fixed, so you can see it everywhere.
Fixed length or trams in DLC France again. SCS was fix trailer connection with variants.
Fixed trains in DLC Italy, where SCS is added cargo train on tracks of fast train and it looks stupid in game.
Trains and trams have sound.
If you use Drive Safely "Sound fixes pack" it must have high priority of my base mod.

2017-12-25
Mod updated.
Fixed all the problems with SCS train define for base game and DLC Italy when SCS add cargo train to fast train type. :lol:
Added sounds for Italy trains and trams.
Reduced police frequency.
Reduced frequency of cars with camper trailer.
Fixed rule for tractor and harverst, so that they MUST NOT spawn in and go to cities. (but sometime it happends, I wait for fix this bug by SCS)
Slow vehicles have very low frequency and new deny rule, so you can see it very rare.
Try to increase city traffic, but it work when you don't wait it and in strange place, but it all that can to now.
Increased AI traffic speed at night time and on rain days.
Fixed time when traffic turn on lights in evening and turn off light ar morning.

Mod recreated for 1.30 game version.

Some problem with SCS algorithm spawn problem exist.
More traffic on motorway, less on local road.
MUST be many cars in cities, but not working every time, you need more time to show this effect, if you're lucky :lol:
Added SCS tractor and harvester on local roads, work time 5 to 21, can go to cities, I can't fix this problem now.

Increased length for cargo trains (a bit)
Increased lenght of DLC France tram
Added sound cargo train: diesel and electric
Added sound for passenger trains + tgx and tram.
Not all work like in 1.28 version, but this is all I can to do now.
Maybe later will be better.
I was test new traffic mods from October 21 (since ATS 1.29 is out), and can't to do like it was before.

Compatible with Drive Safely sound mod. In this case Sound mod must have higher priority.

Mod updated
Now I know 2 parameters for update traffic_data file.
No vehicles spawn count is increased, just changed traffic frequency.
I don't say that this mod "realisic" - no. Speedlimits for ALL counties is 90 km/h (except UK)
Traffic behavior changed, so it now less stupid, and I can comfort driving anywhere.
More traffic on motorway and at night too, but local roads at night have low density.
Daytime relief is returned back to mod.
Added forgotten compatible with Drive Safely sound mod.

Removed "spawn_daytime_rates", and some other parameters.
Removed "spawn_daytime_rates" give dense traffic at night on motorway, but on local road traffic is rare at night. (like by wegger request ;) )

Left only 1 police car at once

It looks like it is last traffic mod, because SCS did all right, and this mods not needed anymore :lol:
And now we have many traffic moders. ;)

Sorry for my english

Now SCS do great job by AI traffic behavor, so traffic mods not needed.
But some people want more traffic in game.
You can increase traffic density by g_traffic variable
g_traffic 1 // default traffic density
g_traffic 0 // not ai traffic
g_traffic from 0 up to 1 - decrease traffic density
g_traffic from 1 up yo 10 - increase traffic density

Be noticed, that variabe "g_traffic" not saved in config.cfg of your profile on game close
I think, that in future game versions SCS make traffic density slider for user, but now ...

Tested on default map and Promods map, on other not tested, but ready to work with MHAPro, Poland rebuilding and some other.

This mod package contain two mods for traffic density and speedlimits.

TrafficDensity_1_4 - increase traffic density and trucks speedlimits for all countyes up to 90 km per hour
except UK and Russia, in UK - 95 mph on motorway and 110 kmph in Russia
Also added daytime traffic density relief due day and night - more at day less at night
Traffic balance:
71% - cars
27% - trucks
2% - buses

TrafficDensityHarsh_1_4 - get all from TrafficDensity_1_4, but added enable ai traffic overtake on single and double lines on road,
also decrease ai_safety and ai_patience, in that case traffic becomes more aggressive.

New parameter in traffic_lane.sii allow you to change density by lane type

spawn_count_limit_modifier
spawn_frequency_modifier

For this reason, not needed change traffic rules in traffic_rules.sii file

Btw, it's 95 km/h for UK, not 95 mph.

SCS knows about the issue with g_traffic reverting, they've said they will be fixing that so it keeps the value.

Hmm. I tried to change the config.cfg directly (g_traffic set to "8"). The game was not running when I edit config.cfs, of course. Then I ran game. But I am not sure, that the traffic density was changed. I mean in 1.21 game version was traffic density huger. Next I stop the game, and check the config.cfg. The value was the same wich I set.
