about the sound mods, you do have professional work and I could see your signatures in Romania map btw ;) ! thank you for that with the emergency vehicles for example.

Hello.
I have my main save, and the testing one (for mod development), and honestly I barely see any difference :/. I re-read mod description several times, and as I understand
I have to start game with the following parameters if I want to see increased traffic density, right?

Code: Select all

-mm_pool_size 8192 -mm_max_resource_size 50 -mm_max_tmp_buffers_size 1000
I don‘t use that now.
My PC specs: Intel Core i5-9400F; 16GB DDR4; Samsung 850 EVO 500GB; Radeon RX 470 4GB

EDIT
I tried with the above launch option but game refuses to load (crash) after profile page :/.

@NiHao these parameters are not for getting more traffic density. so with or without you will still have the same density with my traffic mod enabled. but these parameters are mandatory if you use a lot of mods, especially traffic packs which fill in your RAM. without these, at certain point your game will lack of memory and crash (if you have lots of packs it will happen with 16 Gb RAM too).
if your game won't start with this line it means you did a mistake, just make sure you have no extra spaces or missing spaces it should be exactly one space between rules. to be sure copy the line as in my first page

All right, thanks for the clarification. Mod works as intended. There is definitely difference.
I gave up from using those parameters as I don't use a lot of mods (some 20+), and most of them are very light.
- Slow downs or even stops on the roads, especially around gas stations
I don't know if that's a issue, but in Kaliningrad there is a fake roundabout and AI just stops inside, and I have to reload :/.
They get clogged up so much, and just stop moving. Btw, I don't blame you, too many issues in the game...

sure there might be still some prefabs issues, with incorrect rules ;) this cannot be the fault of a traffic mod that don;t change prefabs only numbers for increased density and some adjustments of spawn and semaphores

Hi cip, please consider to make compatibility with project japan which have custom traffic lane rules. I have an issue with local road is quite empty but not with expressway/highway.

I tried to edit project japan's traffic_lane.xxx.sii & traffic_rules.xxx.sii with custom value in your mod but issue persist, road is empty.

Or could you give some way to fix this by my self? :cry:

I am sorry but I do not plan to drive in Japan map, especially that I will not update my ETS2 to 1.37 earlier than August in the most optimistic scenario. if you want please post these files here (the custom traffic lane and traffic rules and also originals if any). I will have a look and see what is going on

alright, i had a look and here is what I identified:
traffic_rules.wangan.sii you have quite a few new rules with different density generally high, even too high for the additional roads in this map. the smaller values than 0.01 at frequency will be read as 1.0 so better correct this
traffic_lane.wangan.sii here are the additional roads with the personalized density but also with rules form the default density (changed by my traffic mod) so nothing to change herem unless you have my seaparate types of vehiles (bdf, moto, classic and sport cars), if yes, you can copy paste these rules
semaphore_profile.wangan.sii and also the other, if you want to have better traffic flow, you can copy paste from my semaphore profile the longer cycle of large crossroads (green increased to 24 seconds)
in road_look you don't have anything to change, here are the new types of roads.
I would say if density is low on motorways could be due to other causes not because of traffic density settings (maybe prefabs with spawn issues, cannot say)
