Thank you for your fast answer! I will try that tonight.

Edit: It is a much better experience with this mod. But on 1.37 the sound files arent up to date because of FMOD, so there are always warnings in the console. Could this possibly affect the FPS? Because i feel like it does.
Is it possible to only use your fixes of spawn rates, colors and AI speed without the soundfiles?

Thank you in advance, your mods make this game much more enjoyable!!

Is it me or is there something wrong with ai spawning on the opposite side of the road? They spawn in waves and not consistantly

I mentioned this in another thread. It reminds me that ETS2 is just a game. Spawning in waves is not realistic if this happens all the time. And it happens all the time. :-(

I have everything working well in 1.36. sorry I only updated my mod for 1.37 but never tested in game. the 1.38 update will be more complicated (judging after the ATS 1.38 update) and will probably require more testing. in 1.36 but also in ATS 1.38 I don't feel like spawn is inconsistent, it's true I have these gaps too but not all the time. when merging on motorways these gaps are essential otherwise you will wait forever that the Ai in front of you will merge
spawn depends also on the map because road prefabs must include spawn of the Ai as well (the correct type of the road)

I don't think it has something to do with your traffic mod. It happens in vanilla game too. It's the way SCS has implemented spawning.

yes, I know! these gaps are intentional, exactly with this goal to avoid unwanted traffic jams. however with increased density as with my mod, these gaps seems smaller to me, when I drive I usually drive with the flow, behind an Ai truck with 2nd lane empty to allow Ai overtaking. ensuring a good flow in my direction, it means less Ai behind and more probability for the opposite traffic to spawn.
imagine the situation where Ai has no place to overtake (if for example an Ai truck struggles to overtake you), then more an more Ai accumulate behind and eating the spawn numbers. in this situation there will be obviously less Ai from the opposite. this is more obvious on 1x1 lanes. driving behind a tractor, as more Ai spawn behind, less will spawn on the other lane, making space for you to overtake and brake the chain ;)
so you can turn all these in your favor while driving :D

thnx for the information :)
but it feels wierd seeing about 10 seconds of traffic and then 10 seconds nothing (i watched back my recording) on the other direction of the highway, though on the direction i am driving i always have traffic even when i am driving 83kmh/85kmh and overtaking the (horrible braking on the highway) AI
i must also say that i am driving mostly on heilbronn map from klauzzy and on 1.36 i didn't have any problems with traffic (must watch some recordings back to confirm it :P ) --> nevermind, it was the same on 1.36, so it might be the ai spawning from scs how they implemented it.

Those gaps are especially striking on highways near big cities: normally you would expect that around big cities there's a lot of traffic. In both ways. But those gaps are really breaking the immersion of driving on a busy highway near a big city. You just don't expect a one kilometer stretch of highway with no traffic at all. Not during the day. And certainly not during rush hour. But in ETS2 and ATS there are so many of those gaps without a single car, it's just stupid. It is so unrealistic.
And why should those gaps be intentional, to avoind traffic jams? In real life we do have traffic jams. And we have to deal with those traffic jams. So why don't we have traffic jams in game? We obviously don't need those traffic jams everytime and everywhere on the map, but during rush hours in and around big cities I would expect some traffic jams.
So, yeah, I really don't like those empty gaps. It's just so unrealistic.

for me the gaps are only a few seconds, I paid attention in my yesterday's drive ;) I also noticed that sometimes there are more trucks, sometimes more cars, but the gaps are really short and only on the opposite direction. I always have cars overtaking me and also lot of traffic ahead me. unfortunately I forgot to record a video in this matter  I will remember next time! :D

I'm looking forward to see your video. I have to say that I'm still on v1.35 so it is possible that SCS has improved AI traffic. I know that in v1.37 something was improved regarding AI movement behaviour, but I haven't read anything about improvement of spawning of AI traffic.
