Just passed through Durango. I see there are tracks for the Silverton Tourist Railroad but presume they are static with no moving trains?

Believe so, not much worth adding them, in-game they don't even go that far beyond town.

Aye, not to worry then. Always the train sim versions of the D&RGW to enjoy.

Must say though I am thoroughly enjoying Colorado. It's almost like a new game and concept with the spectacular mountain passes, all attempts at a speedy delivery are being abandoned while I sidetrack off down another scenic byway. In fact I wonder whether it's been built at a slightly larger scale than the default 1:20 of previous US States. If Wyoming and Texas are up to this standard we are in for a nice treat. My next task will be to find the (alleged) representation of the road up Pike's Peak.

Would be nice to see the rest of ATS get a makeover up to this standard.

No doubt Texas and Wyoming would be up to this standard. Each state has its differences. Some states are busier than others just as some states are more scenic than others. But when it comes to details, everything after Washington will be pretty much high standard imho. If we had a 1:15 scale or 1:10 lets say, we'd probably still be on just now getting Idaho at this point. Dev times drastically increase. We'd have longer devs times and they'd need a much larger map team. Kinda of like the size the map team is now but have this years ago to get a larger map.

So this is what the progress on the Interstate 70 project looks like in real-life as of last week. This work is depicted in ATS by the work zone on I-70 between Josephine Street in Denver and Airport Boulevard in Aurora. I'm still kind of hoping that SCS will redo I-70 through Denver once this work is done and the old viaduct is demolished.

This has the potential to become a World of Trucks event.

That is actually a good idea! When I was scouting out the site on Google Maps, I found all these dirt haulers staged along the road waiting to get loaded.

nice looking rigs down there. Anyway It would be an awesome event but idk it would work well with no owned gravel trailers :/ It could work but it wouldn't really feel much fun when you can own one :I

^ Totally agree with that. If there’s one trailer which we need badly for the cargo market, it would be dumpers. It would also complement Wyoming in an excellent way.

I have no idea about this expansion though, but I hope it doesn’t have any disaster elements like Big Sur or Genoa bridge.
