I know it's been probably discused like 3000 times before, but since I really have never ever hauled the foodtank trailer until now I was kinda surprised to find the loads are displayed in lbs/tons instead of gallons/liters. How possible would be to implement these measurement units just for the foodtank trailer (and for chemical trailers when they will become ownable in future?)

With the new livestock trailers that will come with Wyoming, will it be about the number of livings?

What counts in the end though is weight because regulations.

Weight in lbs/ton makes the most sense imo - but I don't know of any RL use case

We do not know yet if we will have Livestock a ownership trailer. The only thing that we know for now is that it will come with Wyoming.

The trailers in ATS are always loaded to the max, so the volume of the liquid in the tanker trailers is always same. But since the density of each liquid cargo is different, the mass changes. So I agree with plykkegaard in that it makes more sense to display the net cargo weight.

Well, in case some liquids could be very dense, the tanker will for sure not be filled to the max, @supersobes. Bus as Bandit & the Snowman already said, all the main regulations and limitations are made regarding weight; so, there's no practical use to know the liters of cargo instead of its weight.
