Wheel rotation ingame not synchronised with g25

#1 Post by Annoluce » 03 Feb 2016 14:20

Hi
Yesterday during my first session with this fantastic new sim I noted that my g25 rotation when returning to center position is not synchronised with the one in game. I mean the wheel centering in game is much slower. This causes troubles because I rely on the g25 position to do manoeuvres. When the g25 returns to center, driven by motors, the wheel in game is still doing its first rotation. So when maneuvering in critical conditions and fast wheel rotations (ie during park exit, u turns etc) this causes the car to go straight against obstacles or walls.
Is there a way to avoid this? In ets2 it just doesn't happen and I maneuver flawlessly.

config -> controls -> put steering sensibility to max (right)

Make sure it's set to 900 degrees in Logitech Profiler.

ETS2 is not 720, it's 900.

My fault, not 720 but 780 to get 1:1 ratio ;-)

nope, its 900 for some time already.
Nobody can tell you anything about it. Those who know about it aren't allowed to talk. And those who talk know nothing.

This.

Anyway,

Sync wheel rotation on ATS / ETS = sucks. It's not a car, it's a truck! When you turn 90 degrees on a truck wheel, the truck almost doesn't turn at all. If you want real simulation, you should not try to sync, but use maximum sensibility and 60% of saturation on options.

This is the best configuration to emulate the real 1800 degrees that trucks have on 900 degrees wheel.

european trucks have 2700 degree range. unfortunately no gaming device knows that. thus the game use maximum available.
you can tweak steering formulas (controls.sii) to set whatever double- or triple-range nonlinearity you prefer.

I put sensitivity to max and non-linearity to about half way, and turn auto centering off, 'cos that's for controllers or keyboards/
