Your average fuel economy in ATS.
Re: Your average fuel economy in ATS.
Interesting question... Going to have to check later when I get home.
In a world full of swift drivers, I'm an O/O.
Re: Your average fuel economy in ATS.
I tend to get 4.8 over the course of lets say 3000 miles of varying terrain regardless of the truck or engine I am using. I almost never haul a load of under 55,000 pounds, mostly loads in the 70k and 100k + range. I was using a mod truck a few weeks ago where I got 5.6 or so but didn't like the truck so much and don't even remember what it was. I do pay some attention just out of curiosity but I don't really care what mileage I get
Re: Your average fuel economy in ATS.
with my peterbuilt 579 i get a avg of 6.5 mpg at 65 mph and for my instant was 3.6 mph also at 65 mph

Ok, 6x4 volvo vnl 780 600hp Volvo D16, Eaton F0-22E318b-VXP R 18 speeds. On a run to Phoenix to Reading averaged 7.4 miles per gallon.

Hello All:
Doing the math I have noticed that for normal cargo my MPG is in the 6's and for heavy cargo is in the 5s (maybe high 4s).
I drive a Pete 389 (with the 2050 ft-lb Cummins and 18-speed w/ retarder) max speed of 62 mph (57 mph in California). I tend avoid driving thru Nevada.

Re: Your average fuel economy in ATS.
We are a Viva subsidiary on the West Coast specializing in hauling bulk materials. We do short haul and vocational work, and we run in a lot of stop-and-go traffic. We don’t worry too much about fuel economy because we are more concerned with bottom-end torque. Incidentally, most of our drivers are home every night.
We run Paccar MX-13s because they hit peak torque at low RPM. Most of the fleet is on MX-13 455, but the drivers like the MX-13 510 better, even if there is a 5-10% hit to fuel efficiency -- probably because they rev them a little higher. We run 10 speed Eaton Fuller boxes with a 2.85 ratio in the back and no overdrive.
With this configuration, my best driver gets around 6.7 mpg in traffic, which jumps up to 7.5 mpg on clear roads, but he tends to keep it below 60 on the open road. We actually tend to do a little better in town than on the highway.

My fuel economy isn't good because i use mouse and keyboard, so I can't properly control aceleration and braking, plus I do a lot of LCV's hauls. My fuel economy with a Volvo Vnl 700 with 425hp and Ishift transmition is 2,5 KM/Litre or 5.88 mpg.

With a keyboard and mouse it was 5.5 to 6. With a controller it jumped up to 6.5 mpg. Hoping to get it higher.

Re: Your average fuel economy in ATS.
I am using mods that are suppose to reflect RW performance of engines and transmissions. I have also checked online to see what engines and transmissions are commonly used in the trucks I run in the game. Averages are just that and results are going to vary for everyone whether it's in the game or in the RW but generally modern trucks get 2-3 mpg more than older trucks. Today, it is possible for a new truck to get as high as 7-8 mpg. I use 7.5 mpg as a baseline so I have something to which I can compare. My results have been 6-6.5 mpg for older trucks (with appropriate engine/transmission) and 7-7.5 mpg for new new trucks. Obviously, MPG involves many variables but I don't think I am too far out of the ballpark of RW trucks.

Kenworth W900 sleeper cab 625hp/18spd Eaton Fuller 8x6 chassis.
I'll run any load that pays. Sometimes it's a long haul lighter load of 22,000 lbs, sometimes it's a shorter haul heavier load of 80,000lbs.
Fuel economy (with "realistic fuel" enabled) is around 4.2-4.6mpg
300gallons of diesel still gets me most everywhere I need to go on a single tank. Luckily for me, I've got nothing else to spend money on at this point. LOL
