Xaagon wrote: 22 Dec 2020 02:00 I agree with the order posted above by Onagerlinn. One possible change would be if LA and AR come as a bundle. Both together are about the size of a western state. In reality they are a lot denser in terms of roads and towns, but we'll see what density level SCS decides to map east of I-35.
I don't think Illinois, Indiana, and Florida sold seprately for $11.99 USD each would be a good deal. There are no signs of SCS contemplating bundles at this stage. But it does at least seem like such a concept registers with them at the very least, based on the ETS2 expansions.

The question in the thread title is still valid. So I'll hate to vote for a completed Utah, as well as an updated Nevada. They interest me more than most of the eastern states. Although I do look forward to the plains, and getting away from the mountains and hills.

Florida could be possible for 11.99USD, as standalone.
Why? Coastline and Coastal cities. Think of a flat Italy. With Florida Keys as flattened Sicily, but with a single long road.
Sort of only other state city that might get troublesome, would be Mobile Alabama.
It is close to Pensacola Florida. But both should be able to be fitted in.
Mobile Alabama, before SCS do it, they have to have planned and done Gulfport/Biloxi for Mississippi.
Cities that affect each other, short example.
New Orleans LA -> Gulfport/Biloxi MS -> Mobile AL -> Pensacola FL

I feel state price will be dependent on what the state has to offer in terms of unique cities and landscapes. with Colorado they went from emphasizing number of cities and road miles to landscapes and what the cities have to offer. I feel this is to keep people from doing a "which state is better" thing. Wyoming will have its own unique landscapes and cities as will Montana, Texas, Oklahoma and Kansas, Arkansas and Louisiana when they get to them. I have little doubt that they can make states like Louisiana and Arkansas interesting enough to be standalone for $11.99, maybe $9.99 if they felt generous. If they are focusing on thing sin cities and unique landscapes and scenery, every state has that. And it becomes less of an issue of "this state is worse because it has fewer road miles/cities" which is what people complained about with Utah and Idaho.I think once the states get too small to point out unique land forms and cities then they will start combining them, and that's on the eastern seaboard states mostly.

Utah would have been a much more logical option than OR to model in 2018, in regards to the L shape map mention.

Did these whingers not know that much of western US is desert? Pity about the desert haters and their influence.

I think that part of the reason for SCS going forward with Oregon was due to the excitement amongst the playerbase to have a more "green set of scenery", and it might have given a bit more momentum to ATS back in 2017/2018. Of course I do think that this was more so ignorance, coming from those players who believed that they knew all about the Pacific Northwest, and yet thought that its a good representation of the entirety of the state of Oregon. We didn't really get lots of "green" until Washington and Idaho released.

Utah would have been really nice to release earlier on, but at the end of the day we're passed that now. Oregon is actually one of my least visited states in-game, some areas of the state are nice whereas some are just "meh". Still a lot better than New Mexico though.

If I remember Oregon was released as Paccar wanted Washington in game so the Kenworth plant could be featured.

Well Washington was going to be released no matter what. Even then, it was logical to finish the West Coast before moving eastward.

@IamTheOne I agree 100% was the best move but Paccar in a way had a say in it too.

 Illinios definitely standalone as the state is one after Texas to be big pain worse than Florida and New York.

Illinios there alot highways far more than Washington and Colorado combined and Chicago alots of tollsways and freeways.

The markings of roads will need to be redone with tollways with Chicago.

Midwest states all of them more numerous large and midsize cities along with more highways.

Chicago where I-90 and I-80 and with I-94 then I-55 and I-57 meet.

Most regions will sell for $11.99, and majority of states can be released in Colorado size bundles of 12-16 in game cities and 3000-5000 in game road miles.

It will be easier to little more density further east less mountains to deal with.

@angrybirdseller Outside of Chicago, Illinois will be a piece of cake for SCS. A few midsize cities, pretty straightforward road network, and flat as a pancake. And, by the time SCS gets to Illinois, they will be well versed in building megacities, so Chicago shouldn't be terribly difficult.
