Poll: Choose (3) States you would like to see next
Re: Poll: Choose (2) States you would like to see next
Maryland, Delaware, New Jersey, come to my mind.
NTM's B-Double Telescopic Skeletal Container Carrier. Youtube video on how it works. W & S thread.
B-Double trailer and short modes: EN 7.82 swap body, 20’ or 30’ containers.
Standalone 40' mode: EN 7.82 swap body, 20', 30', 40' or 2 x 20' trailer.

Texas in December of 2021(a bit too optimistic) isn't happening due to the massive size of texas maybe april or may of 2022 is possible but it's the 2nd biggest US state so don't expect it to come this year unless a miracle happens
Take it with a grain of salt nothing is 100% sure

Texas wont be out till 2022 sometime. I could see small map update for ATS at the end of the year or maybe nice cabin accessory or another special event for the the convoy group.

Yup! till 2022, I expect Wyoming and maybe 2-3 phases of CA rebuild

I expect Texas in 2022 as well. Would love to see a 2021 release but I run a lot of Texas in real life and it would be insane to rush Texas.
Re: Poll: Choose (2) States you would like to see next
Yessss indeed. That is what I've been saying for the past 2 years with Texas.......it can't be rushed...it just can't. If SCS wants to seriously show out for ATS, a $17.99 map is the map to do it. Cross your T's and dot your I's. Texas can easily go Spring or Summer. No matter which one, SCS should not release it until they are 98% min, that its ready. 2% can be cleaned up in the first round of patches. The scale of Texas is massive and its the first of its kind for ATS so let the devs work it. Come Jan/Feb it would be 3 years in the making. Obviously Texas needs it. I'm actually putting my eyes on Summer 2022 now vs Spring. It could be done mid to late Spring but we have to give the internal team and the senior beta testers time to do their thing. The job isn't done just because mapping and programming is done. Texas is pretty much 2-3 states so it will take 2-3 times as long to test.
That means that if Texas is a Summer 2022 map, we have an opportunity to get back on track with 2 maps a year because I'd like to think that Montana is that Winter 2022 map. I sure hope Oklahoma doesn't come first. That's more salt in the wound to Idaho and the I-90 gap that Wyoming will help create. Once Wyoming releases, that gives that team 1.5 years to work Montana if that is where they go. Montana is huge but its not Texas nor California. But I do think it could take the entire 1.5 years to develop it. Worse case, Montana pushes to Spring 2023...no big deal. Now after both Texas and Montana are out the door.........its on. No state will never be as large with content. Not even Alaska. Minnesota is the closest size wise. If Texas makes it out the door for Summer 2022, if Montana needs a few more bodies, they have the capacity from the Texas team to then help push it out for Winter 2022. So if both Texas and Montana is out the door for 2022, that will make for a very very interesting Xmas 2022 stream. If they don't officially announce 3 map teams on that stream that ATS will go to 3 states.....then we'd just have to wait for the following year to see the plan. But there will be 3 map team that can go to 3 different states. Either bundle or get single states as usual. I'd love to think those 3 states would all be the ones that surround Texas to get Texas locked in. Oklahoma, Arkansas and Louisiana would be my targets for 2023. That gives us the building blocks to populate North, Northeast and East all at the same time moving on from Texas. Kansas can wait until 2024. Missouri 2024...Mississippi 2024. Build out from Texas is how I'd like to see the push to Maine.
With Texas and Montana in place, all the Western region is done and its time to focus on the South region and the Midwest. So I wouldn't even see the borders as part of the design West of Texas at that point. Build out from Texas in 3 different directions simultaneously. Don't go only North from Texas, don't go only East from Texas. We need a mix of environments worked on at the same time. This imho is what would sale. Only GP....nah. Only the Gulf Coast states....a little more feasible to push to Florida but still, I'd rather see the mix. Especially if the capacity is there to go multiple directions. As individual states, they are small enough to not be a threat to take more than 12 months to map them.

My post are only thoughts and ideas. Don't assume it makes ATS.

Personally I would do Oklahoma then Wyoming. That Oklahoma link is more vital to Texas and Colorado than Montana is to Idaho. Just my opinion.
Re: Poll: Choose (2) States you would like to see next
You could argue Texas is self sufficient though because of its size, and doesn't really need connections to everywhere.
Not yet at least.

I’d like to think the devs have made a start with Montana in drawing initial road layouts etc obviously with the thinking Montana is the next state which like most say should be. As Wyoming comes to a close and release more devs will make the move over to the Montana development team

Rather see Montana first over Texas but the cake is baked. I may hold buying Texas will we have at least Louisiana, Oklahoma and Arkansas just so have more box in pattern. All buy Montana right away when it out. With base map being improved think square map nice.
