Poll: Choose (3) States you would like to see next
Re: Poll: Choose (2) States you would like to see next
@flight50 most likely you are right. but I hope for the best.
I hope to get all the USA in ATS in 10 years. not in 20 years, when graphics get new standards and technologies (when we get a huge gap and difference).
I hope what newbies did in 10 months in Wyoming, they can do in Montana in 8 months, with experience and possibly a simpler east of the map than in the previous.
maybe Texas will be ready in winter 21/22 and go polished to testers and release by them in spring 2022. and a huge Texas team can split up in winter. one part will go to help team of Wyoming to complete Montana by summer 2022. and most of them will have time to make a small Oklahoma in 10 months by the end of the 2022 year. yes, that would be cool and incredible
I think we still have a chance to get 3 DLC next year.
and it gives me hope that teams gain more experience and can build maps a little faster than before.

I forgot about that, ATS gets another ferry finally There's also a ferry between Cape May, NJ and Lewes, DE that allows trucks along US-9. That could be an alternate method to get between Atlantic City and Dover without having to go through Philly. Those might be the only ferries we get unless one comes with NYC.rbsanford wrote: ↑15 Sep 2021 04:42 There's a coal-fired steam-powered carferry called the SS Badger that runs between Manitowoc, WI, and Ludington, MI (on the LP); it's officially a part of US 10, and it allows semi trucks, even those with oversize loads (you just have to phone ahead to reserve space). I've crossed the lake twice on that ferry; she's a good ship and true.

Montana can't come before Texas though. SCS will release a dlc in the order they announce it. Montana isn't announced. They put more people on Texas to push it out first before they tried to push out Montana. Montana is a lot larger than one may think. 2/3 of it is simple yes. But its almost , but that is still a lot of land to cover. If it was C2C style, yeah we could get it. But Montana has a lot riding on it too. Its vast and people are wanting to explore those Eastern parts of Montana.
The US should be done before 20 years is here. That would suck if it took that long. Nowwww if you want to say North America, that is a different story. If the US could be done in 10 years, it could take another 10 years to do both Canada and Mexico. So ATS as a project could go 20+ years. By then, I'd be well into my 60s.

Re: Poll: Choose (2) States you would like to see next
Regarding ferries, wondering is there a chance to get Galveston-Port Bolivar ferry in game?
Re: Poll: Choose (2) States you would like to see next
Galveston-Port Bolivar ferry only 2.7 miles - I think it's too small for a scale of 1:20 to show it to us. and so big Houston near.
with a high probability, I do not think that we will see him. in Washington, the ferry seems to be much longer.
most likely it will depend on what roads will be available to us in Texas.
yes, will see one day the road network map of Texas in ATS is so exciting. how SCS will be able to cope with this incredibly difficult task?))

Re: Poll: Choose (2) States you would like to see next
Agreed. 2.7 miles is too short. If SCS did that route, it would have to be 1:1. But it might be necessary if we get TX-124 and TX-87. So yes, I agree that it will depend on the roads we get in Texas. Its TX-124/TX-87 connecting Galveston to Houston is a good idea but will we get it?

Re: Poll: Choose (2) States you would like to see next
Regardless of whether or not they release DLCs in the order of announcement, Montana is still very unlikely to be released before Texas, due to the priorities and the amount of teams there currently are. And yet again, Montana is not any smaller than any other states they've done so far
Two wrongs don't make a right, three lefts...do
Re: Poll: Choose (2) States you would like to see next
Nope. Montana is the 3rd largest in the lower 48 by area. There will be enough cities and roads that will eat up time and push it past 12 months dev time. I'd be shocked if it came before Oct/Nov of 2022.
Experience is one thing, but no mao is the exact same as the last. Same principles to construct yes, but totally different experience will be required if a dlc is to appear unique.

Well SCS did do that ferry in Romania that literally just crosses the river, and gives you a cutscene instead of a loading screen, so I think no real life ferry is too short to be featured in 1:20
Re: Poll: Choose (2) States you would like to see next
Good point. I remember that on a blog now that you mention it. First of its kind iirc. I haven't played it though. But solid point. If SCS gives us that southern route, yeah we can get that ferry if it accepts semi trucks.
