1.30 changes to ATS

As it seems 1.30 Open Beta for ETS has started and ATS will get updated to that update number too. Does somebody know what that will include?

I'm sure they do. Getting them to speak about it may be impossible, however, at least at this time.

The AI cars are now pulling RVs in the ETS2 open beta. I'd love to see this brought in ATS, specifically fifth wheel RVs on the back of pickup trucks.

ATS 1.30 is mostly a New Mexico Map Bugfix Update and they maybe improved some new features that they introduced in ATS 1.29

There is nothing in the ETS2 that sticks out to me that screams add to 1.30 to match ETS2 besides having a new license for a truck we don't have. However, I am still waiting to see the AI parking that was shown on a youtube video. I haven't seen it stated in any blogs or anywhere else but there is video on it. I also do know if the below video is only tied to a certain area in which the AI parks or if it is all over the map. Either way, I have not seen it.

I've seen cars drive into some places and park. One was at one of these new repair only garages.

Oh yeah. Was this New Mexico? Perhaps it is just in New Mexico at specific places. It's a start at least. I am sure they may just be trying it out in a few places testing it out. I am hoping to see trucks leave facilities as we come in to drop off loads. Better yet, see AI trucks park while we are backing up and then either leave the dock or leave the dock right as we get to the dock. Granted that this can only happen at large facilities. Random events and AI parking was the two new additions update wise that I really wanted to see. Perhaps I will just hang out at rest stops for a few to see what I can catch.

I've seen an AI truck+trailer park. It was a simple pull through and park. I can't remember where it was. Either the truckstop at Ship Rock or the truck stop right around Gallup. I only remember that it was around the Arizona border.

Also, there was a huge truck stop adjacent to a fast food restaurant drive thru. Cars were pulling up to the window to pick up their orders.

I saw it happen in the same lot as this video. It's the view point/rest area on that new stretch in CA that's supposed to represent Death Valley. The funny thing with mine was he wanted to park in the spot I was in so he pulled up behind me, and sat there waiting for me to leave.

Thanks fellas. I will have to hangout around those areas to see what I can find.

@Laynlow13. I assume that if the AI was waiting for you, then perhaps they have pre-programmed spots they are to go to. If they do in fact have multiple programmed spots, in cause the human player is there, it failed on the programming part. Work in progress still perhaps. Regardless, it is a very neat concept to pull off for extra realism. It's only a matter of time before we start see in on all new maps or reworked parts of the map. I am sure NM has it but perhaps not active now until a future update actives them just like they did with random events in 1.29.

@rain94. Drive thru, really. That is so cool. SCS is really trying some innovated things in ATS. I think they are doing a good job trying to add that umph to ATS to compensate for the lack of map and trucks right now. As the map grows, what we have now (random event, AI parking and so on) it will expand into all the new areas of the game which adds more coverage for sure. Them reworking only parts of the existing map works for me to incorporate the new features. Going back to keep redoing things delays moving forward and it also does not generate funds.
