Maybe we'll finally get some Dutch paint jobs in ETS2? Ah wait... that's too much to hope for. I'll just have to settle with the Pirate DLC paint job that has the VOC Batavia on it with a pirate flag instead of a Dutch flag. 8-)

Could that be the Special Transport? They first teased it a year ago in the New Year video.

Thanks Ionutl. I am still new to some of the lingo around here, lol. So "depot" is basically a place holder for (x) dlc. I was comparing ETS2's special transport with that of the ETS2 and ATS heavy cargo packs. The megs are 18-21mb. So if 20-ish mb is the set place holder for ATS to match ETS2 for Xmas, hopefully SCS was just hush hush about special transport for ATS. Now that would be a treat. Heck anything for ATS is a treat that gives us extra content. ATS is starting to get more recognition with each dlc or major update. It may never reach ETS2 status but in due time, it can start making more noise without having to keep being compared to ETS2.

It may not reach ETS2 status, it could exceed ETS2 status at this point.

At this point? ATS is just now approaching 1 million copies sold. ETS2 is at 4.5 million and counting. ETS2 has a much larger map and larger selection of trucks. Only thing ATS currently has that ETS2 doesn't (but will eventually) is random events. Soooo currently, no ATS is not ETS2 status. It will take 1/3 or 1/2 of the US built, US truck companies to finally release some licenses and have at least 50% of the ETS2 players to at least try out ATS. Til then, ATS will always be playing catch up because to some degree or another we all compare the two with the stats I just listed.

Oh I am not doubting that it can't. Believe me, I wish nothing but the best for ATS. It has mad potential and I would love to see support in the numbers of 4.5+ million just as ETS2. There are 700+ people in Europe compared to 300+ million in the US. Last I checked it was a difference of 420 million extra people Europe has vs the US. Also there is support outside of both Europe and the US. There is the remainder of North America, South America, Australia and Asia. I am sure there are some from Africa as well but I don't recall ever seeing someone from there represented on this form. Don't get me wrong, I love ATS and rather much play it because I am from the US. In fact since NM dropped, 90% of my playing time is in ATS again. Even with Italy dropping and special transport releasing this week, ATS will still be my go to. I waited for NM, heavy haul and doubles to hit ATS for 11 months. In that 11 months is when I switched over to ETS2 and let SCS do there thing. In turn, I got familiar with ETS2. But I desperately hope ATS can climb the charts and be equal or very close to equal status as ETS2 eventually. At year 5, we can judge ATS more fairly just as ETS2 is judged now at it's 5 year mark.

If they are quietly working on a ST dlc for ATS I don't think we would get it in time for Christmas. They haven't even done a beta yet, unless they're doing a very quiet closed beta right now. But I feel we may get one in Jan or Feb. Whatever that S Depot placeholder is for they're actively working on it, it seems. Both the ETS2 and ATS ones have been recently updated.
