Missing All Volvo Dealerships on World Map

As far as I've understood, yes there are officially Volvo dealers in ATS. However they are normally hidden. If you use a truck mod that uses the Volvo brand the dealers become visible in game.

In order to be able to see the Volvo dealers on the map, you must have a Volvo truck mod that activates them.

mechanism for hiding dealers was made because trucks are put into (free) dlc for ATS.
anyone could disable, say, kenworth dlc on steam and run new profile without. in such case all kenworth dealers will behave just like regular services and upgrade shops, not dealers. same mechanism we used when we failed to obtain volvo license before ATS relese. thus any truck which name is "volvo" simply wakes up the volvo dealers.

I guess you know everything CARL1992 then why is it when you extract the base folder of the game there are volvo dealers in it? base/prefab/truck dealers.

although CARL1992 does not know everything about the game and us he knows quite a lot. and as i suppose he wont be deliberately lying, you can definitely believe what he says (it could save some time for us all ).

Thanks for that info, Max. Out of curiosity, has there been any progress in getting more brands in ATS, or are we stuck with the current four models for the foreseeable future?

...or, if not, could SCS please place a few more "inactive" dealers/brands/workshops (just like the volvo, but keyed to another brand) on the map(s) so the modding community can sort their semis into more than 2 labeled or a one-fits-all dealer?
