Re: Next ATS truck speculation
Oh for sure. But majority of truck manufacturers will want to add their latest and greatest trucks first and only then think about the possibility of adding those they have just dumped. Also, we still need to remember it's all commercial. Spending money for a license for a new "in-production" truck is more financially justified than spending money for a truck that's obsolete (technically speaking)
The smallest details always make the biggest difference.
Re: Next ATS truck speculation
Wyoming should be officially released a few days after the official version of 1.41 is updated. Let’s see if the scs software will push the news of the new car during the period from this month to the official version of 1.41. I hope the new car is Freightliner 122SD
Hopefully in the future America Truck Simulator will add these trucks: Freightliner 122SD/Century/Columbia/FLD/Cascadia/Coronado, Kenworth T800/T880/W990,Volvo VNX740, International HX520/ ProStar, and MACK Pinnacle, MACK Titan.

Um dude. 1 Its not a car. and 2 Don't expect that truck to be next. (kinda obvious its not) Its mostly be Volvo, LT, or the western star.
Re: Next ATS truck speculation
Dont get me wrong,I am not saying that they should go for the older models first, this approach where they are bringing latest truck models first is fine by me,I just don't like the idea that once a truck is no longer in production we should lose hope of ever seeing them in game or SCS should not make some effort to acquire license for it.Take for example Freightliner or International,when(if)122SD,LT and HX finally arrive in ATS,why not going for the older Cascadia,9900i or some other International models.Wolfi wrote: ↑20 Jun 2021 13:36 Oh for sure. I'm sincerely hoping now that the 122SD n e v e r comes. I am tired of hearing about it.
You can never make a miserable person who complains about everything happy. They live by "If I can't be happy then no one can be happy."
Re: Next ATS truck speculation
I can imagine your face if 122SD it's indeed the next truck ...
Re: Next ATS truck speculation
Well, well, well … Someone got furious
I’d be baffled if 122SD happens to be the next truck (or even better, if it lands anytime before 2023 and there’s at least one OTR model not added yet). I’d rather see the HX or the 4900.

Re: Next ATS truck speculation
First of all I don't think Freightliner says no for adding old Cascadia.
The prices of current models are cheaper since SCS would give a good advertisement by just adding the trucks in the game. 49X is way popular than it should be thx to the SCS.
The problem is, SCS isn't fast enough to add the trucks in the game. There aren't any rule exist that SCS cannot add the trucks which is not on the production line. But since the trucks which is on the production line has the priority, SCS never gonna add the older trucks because they cannot even add the trucks which has priority. Freightliner old Cascadia was on the production line but SCS couldn't add so when the new Cascadia came, old one doesn't have priority after that. Currently
Kenworth W990
Kenworth T680 Next Gen
Peterbilt new 579
Volvo VNL
International LT
Western Star 5700
Freightliner 122SD
Mack Pinnacle
Has the priority for sure. And even in this list, some of them will lose their priority before SCS add. So they need to increase the pace of adding trucks. Currently the vehicle team is not enough to do that and if the size of the team will stay like that, we'll never gonna have classic trucks. Not only that, we also will lose opportunity to have the trucks like old Cascadia, Peterbilt 587, Kenworth T660, International 9900I etc. Not only that, also we'll lose Prostar, 4900, 5700 and many of them.
The reason is probably like this. Manufacturers should say, you have to add our current models first for benefiting us as well. If SCS would have current models then I don't think they'll say no for the older models. Orsaur44l wrote: ↑20 Jun 2021 11:48 Frankly speaking I never did understood the logic behind that "if the trucks are no longer in production, then we should never have them in game" thinking.I mean we already have trucks that are no longer in production, what difference is gonna make adding some that just recently became models that could be bought only as used ones in the real world. And to be really honest I hope that in the future that way of thinking will be put in the past,it would be a real shame not to have trucks like the old Cascadia,9900i,T800 and etc.Give us an option where we can buy used trucks and there you have your excuse to add them in the game,I am sure that no one is gonna complain if there are more trucks to chose from.

If that happens, I'll spam 5700XE until I got banned
Re: Next ATS truck speculation
I might join you as well. 5700XE and the VNL are the trucks I’d love to see by this year. The 82 inch Stratosphere model would be insanely huge, I can’t wait to replace all the 49X trucks with the 5700XE.
Cattle hauler would be an added bonus for the 5700XE
