@flight50 lol damn, think its the first time anyone else talk about manual transmissions in these trucks besides me, I figured none else cared here because that is the feeling I've had for the past... I dunno? 6 years? xD

I've given up, besides, the automatics and the code for it has gotten pretty damn good and my chair only rolls off on me anyway so eh... still fun to drive.

Lol. Your chair rolls off. I just relocated by desk from a carpeted location to one with laminate flooring. That lasted only 1 hr, lol. I went to Walmart and bought a small area rug....perfect again. I have to shift with shifter and clutch petal. I will have it no other way. I've gotten use to ignoring the lack of an actually shifter but it doesn't mean I wouldn't want SCS to some day include it. Vocational trucks would be great to get them. Especially if SCS gives us some that could get canned sooner than others. The T800 (1987) comes to mind first. But the 122SD first gen (2001-2010) is only a glider kit now so that decreases the chances of getting it. The T880 (2013/14) is still valid and the latest and greatest from Kenworth. Newer trucks like the HX and VNX could swing either way when it comes to technology now. The older vocational trucks just feel right with 13/18 speeds. As a kid, all I ever knew was manual. I learned on a manual back in 99' but once I changed jobs and moved over to Coca Cola loading trucks, they had autos in their fleet. That is when I learned that more local routes use autos. It makes sense for local and lighter loads I suppose. But heavy duty use, most old school drivers rather manuals.

All these OTR fleet trucks are automatic/semi automatic dominate and I'm not interested at all in those. I invested money in a shifter....(2) shifters actually and that is the only way I will ever play ATS/ETS2. In ETS2, that is partly why I can only use the K100 or K200. The ZF transmission is close but its still not H-pattern.

I like to drive in automatic transmission. As for whether the gear lever model is a movable model, I don’t care.
Hopefully in the future America Truck Simulator will add these trucks: Freightliner 122SD/Century/Columbia/FLD/Cascadia/Coronado, Kenworth T800/T880/W990,Volvo VNX740, International HX520/ ProStar, and MACK Pinnacle, MACK Titan.

I'm wondering how they fit entire North America in a Scania. It doesn't have proper personal space comparing to the other conventionals in NA. I think I can fit the entire world in 86 inch studio sleeper on that occasion 🤔

There are imported ones exist. But when having malfunction or sth, I don't know how they are finding parts. If they driving short runs in mountainous regions just like Oregon, Scania could do a nice job especially on tight roads with heavy loads. But can't imagine to drive in that thing coast to coast mostly on plains and having reefer or dry van. It's just a waste of fuel and bad sleeper comfort .

To drive an imported Scania in the US, there are also modifications you would have to do in order to ensure compliance with US laws. You can't just drive a stock Scania on US roads.

The one spotted in Mexico could be a Brazilian Scania. It's hard to tell from the picture in Google Maps, but the headlights don't look Euro-spec.

The headlights look a lot like a Brazilian Scania. It is very common some trucks from here to be spread across Latin America, which includes Mexico.
