I wouldn't say any of the trucks we've gotten (or are due to receive) have been "silly". If you have a license, you use it. If you're given a huge promotional opportunity, you take it. And the recent slate of trucks was otherwise motivated by getting every brand in the game ASAP, which has self-explanatory importance.Queentruckeruk wrote: ↑09 Jun 2021 04:02 Oh so American truck simulator gets more western trucks for so silly reason and volvo vnl in game is 5 years old and i think having new volvo vnl 2021 will be better
There's a lot of merit for the new VNL to be added, but you could make similar arguments for most companies. Peterbilt and Kenworth have even older and worse models than the VNL. International and Western Star are both missing their most "typical" truck options in favor of something more unique. Freightliner, while well-represented by the recent Cascadia, is probably the most popular American Truck brand and could warrant a second model for that reason. Mack's probably the only one you need to go out of your way to justify a second truck for, but there's still demand for the Pinnacle too.
I agree with the sentiment that the new VNL is probably the "best" choice once SCS is done with their present commitments, but I don't really see much issue with any truck we're likely to get. Even a left-field wild-card choice like the 9900i would still be fun from a "Wow, I wasn't expecting that!" point of view.
