Re: Next ATS truck speculation
What are the odds that they will give us new versions of the 680 and 579? I would be hyped for a 579 with an Ultraloft sleeper!

@Bag of Donuts what do you mean new versions of the 579 and t680?
Take it with a grain of salt nothing is 100% sure
Re: Next ATS truck speculation
^Updated trucks. SCS is modeling truck much better now and since 2016 trucks are the oldest, many would like updates to them. I don't care either way in regards to the older trucks. I've been content with my W900 since day one but if SCS reworks them, cool. If not, I'll keep truckin' with what we do have.
My post are only thoughts and ideas. Don't assume it makes ATS.

Flight pretty much answered your question. Similar to what they did in ETS2 with the Scania's etc..
Re: Next ATS truck speculation
Did Kenworth T680 had any major addition like the Ultraloft for Peterbilt?
Speaking of both the trucks, the things I would like to see are:
1. Plastic hood mirrors
2. Ultraloft for 579 obviously
3. Adding a 12-speed gearbox (Paccar has one I guess) and updating the engine brake column.

Re: Next ATS truck speculation
At some point I could see them do a DAF style rework for the older trucks, add in a few new options and correct the model to some extend. But I highly doubt they'd start it from scratch, it would probably still be built off of the current model, not a CAD redo.
Re: Next ATS truck speculation
I'm expecting ultraloft in tuning DLC tbh. And interior remodeling with 567 release for 579Bag of Donuts wrote: ↑23 Nov 2020 00:42 What are the odds that they will give us new versions of the 680 and 579? I would be hyped for a 579 with an Ultraloft sleeper!

New VNL leading the poll, interesting
Re: Next ATS truck speculation
I must say, I really hope the ATS Peterbilt 579 receives a complete overhaul instead of just plugging in a few new tidbits. In real life, that truck is quite sculptural, voluptuous, and beautiful (especially with the newer models featuring the Ultraloft and aerodynamic features). Unfortunately, those design features that I mentioned are simply not found on the in-game model making it a bit less accurate and attractive.
I'm still impressed that SCS was able to successfully replicate the Kenworth T680 using the older modeling technology at the time—It's a very fine truck.

Re: Next ATS truck speculation
I fully agree. I think the 579 in real life is one of the most beautiful ''new trucks''.
I keep imagining a 579 Ultraloft just like you said, with aero kit and hooked up to the 53'. It would be one of the most beautiful combos in this game.
The T680 really is the ''old'' model of SCS best done to date, in my opinion. Him just need more accessories and an aero kit, maybe, if they have it in real life.
The W900* was also made with a excellent quality, just its interior that is with some tired textures.
*and it's my favorite truck, from day to day, until maybe Cascadia is launched.
