Cemail Cebeci wrote: 09 May 2021 13:43 I will ask you what is the difference between SB SF SBA SFA and which brands and models they use most
SBA is Set Back Axle. SFA is Set Forward Axle. I don't think its brand specific. Anyone can have it. Seems as though most vocational trucks utilize it though. The difference is due to weight distribution laws per state. Both configurations are made so that companies can comply if they like a particular truck. For example....you love the 49x. Well if John Doe trucking company like the 49x in NY but also has a company in California, both states could have different requirements so one may need the SBA and the other SFA.

Now I am just stating examples for California and New York as I don't know. So take this with a grain of salt.

SFA - set forward axle means that the front axle is pushed as much forward as possible. (This configuration seems to be more stable at higher speeds)
SBA - set back axle means that front axle is moved further back and placed a lot closer to the cabin. (This configuration has better turning radius)
Those aren't brand specific. Every truck brand seems to have at least one model in their offer with SBA/SFA configuration.

Does anyone knows where the WS 4900 pic in the OP post was taken?

Looks like Million Dollar Highway in Colorado. But I might be wrong.

I was just thinking..... What if SCS were trying to get all of the VN models (VNL, VNR, and VNX) in before releasing it to the public? I mean if we get the VNL only, we won't get any 4X2 or 8X4 or 8X6 axle config with them because, afaik, their isn't any available for the VNL unless you get their other models, which are the VNR or VNX. Just a little speculation and some brain itching food for thought...

We have discussed on Volvo page I guess. VNL and VNX could come together. VNR and VNL also could come together. But three of them won't come together unless SCS wants to make 5 different sleeper cab.

When you check on the Volvo site, you'll see they gave numbers as the name for sleepers. Both of those models shares 300 and 400 can which is day cab and smallest sleeper cab.

But their largest sleepers are 660 for VNR, 740 for VNX and 860 for VNL. And those are looking like this

So it takes more time than bringing 2 of them.

They could add VNL and VNX, release 3 cab for VNX (300,400,740) and 4 for VNL (300,400,740 and 860) here is VNL 740 btw

Or, they could release VNR(300,400,660) VNL (300,400,860)

But I prefer VNL, VNX combine because with it, VNL would have 4 different sleeper option.

VNL and VNX is a good combo. Having VNL and VNR are having LT and RH, they are both essentially the same.

Actually VNX and VNL are more similar than VNL and VNR. Side skirts and bumper is different on VNX. The rest is pretty much same. VNR has shorter hood comparing to VNL.

Probably we won't get VNX or VNR with VNL but, it's a nice dream :p

I'd honestly rather have the VNR over the VNL, but that's very unlikely to happen.

OTR and Extreme (Vocational) trucks are a thing in ATS. Regional haulers? Not yet, but it would be nice to see them as well. Given the trend of trucks being added to the game, OTR models will mostly be the first priority.
