International Trucks Discussion Thread
Re: International Trucks Discussion Thread
It's curious, as I don't drive Anthem anymore because the engine sound. When it was released seemed OK but after all new additions I don't like it.

Re: International Trucks Discussion Thread
I don't really drive the the Mack Anthem anymore either. When it first came out, it was probably my favourite truck in ATS. Cumulatively between all the Anthems in my fleet, I had around 70,000 miles in them. But now that we have the Cascadia and the LT, I don't really feel the need to drive it anymore. I prefer the Cascadia and LT to the Anthem both IRL and in-game.
Re: International Trucks Discussion Thread
Afaik, the Anthem has the most torque in the 500hp range of engines. The 505 MP8 has better torque than the DD15 505 and Cummins X15 500, so that is a big plus for me. And the Anthem has one of the most unique designs out there only losing to the Lonestar and the 5700.
The Cascadia is good but i hate how the hood mirrors sits way too low... I have to set the seat all the way up to be able to see my mirrors and that's annoying (And i've seen quite a lot of videos of drivers using the Cascadia IRL and they are not positioned that low).
The LT is nice and if we didn't have the Anthem in-game, i would totally be driving the LT instead. The Lonestar is also great but since i always use a 53'ft reefer, it doesn't match that well... I think the Lonestar matches way more with a tanker, a flatbed and etc.

the mirrors are in the right position, the camera isnt, the videos you saw (i assume PoV videos?) record from a higher point then the drivers eyes, in VR this problem doesnt even exist, strange enough, and i can see the mirrors completely

Re: International Trucks Discussion Thread
The Cascadia overall has a smore sloped hood than the other trucks, so naturally, the hood mirrors will sit lower. Personally, I think the Cascadia hood mirrors work just fine if the interior camera position is adjusted properly.
It's the Mack Anthem hood mirrors that I dislike in ATS. Because of the improper hood position, the mirrors are way too high.
Here's a comparison of the Cascadia, 49X, and LT.

Oh allright,that makes sense.Thanks
Re: International Trucks Discussion Thread
But I don't want to depend on mods, unless it's imperative.
With this 5 trucks in my fleet I have enough:
Of course, future new trucks might be welcome (HX especially).
