Re: International Trucks Discussion Thread
The sleeper cab is shown on the International Trucks website. It's the same 'alien' cab that the Lone Star and LT share.
Re: International Trucks Discussion Thread
Yup, they teased with the video already. We saw sleeper on there. It is same cab with Lonestar and LT. Not only that old HX has also sleeper option as well. It's not a special thing tho, I think almost all vocational trucks in NA has sleeper options.

Re: International Trucks Discussion Thread
Looks like International was so lazy on the design that they tried to copy the 49X from Western Star.
Why do North America has to do the same as Europe now, copying design from other brands

UM guys. The HX series was here before 49X. So it would be them copying them lol xD

Re: International Trucks Discussion Thread
Companies copying off of each other is nothing new and has been going on for centuries.

If you consider 49X is a successor of 4900 things changes a lot xDparasaurolophus67 wrote: ↑01 Dec 2020 21:02 UM guys. The HX series was here before 49X. So it would be them copying them lol xD

Re: International Trucks Discussion Thread
I'm looking to buy a new International for my fleet. I know everything I want to spec the truck with except for the engine. I'm comparing the Cummins X15 to the Cummins ISX15, but I don't see the difference and advantages of picking one over the other. I'm going to be using this truck for hauling turnpike doubles and Rocky Mountain doubles, so I want it to have a high torque output. There's four engines I'm looking at to potentially put in this truck: Cummins X15 Performance 525, Cummins ISX15 550, Cummins ISX15 600, and Cummins X15 Performance 605.
Comparing the X15 Performance 525 to the ISX15 550, they seem to be the same engine. They both output 1,850 foot pounds of torque, and the optimal RPM for maximum torque on both is 1,200 RPM. Which one would be better? Seeing as they have the same torque and same optimal RPM, they seem like they would pull exactly the same.
The other two engines I'm looking at are the ISX15 600 and the X15 Performance 605. They have the same torque output, 2,050 foot pounds, but they have a difference in optimal RPM. The X15 Performance develops its torque at 50 RPM lower than the ISX15. This would make me believe that it would provide better fuel economy because of the lower RPM, but the name "Performance" makes me think otherwise, especially since Cummins also have an "Efficiency" series.
Of each of these two comparisons, which engine would provide the best pulling experience, and which engine would provide the best fuel economy?

With the Cummins x15 605 and the 18 speed i bet you can pull those large trailers especially on those uphills in colorado and idaho
Take it with a grain of salt nothing is 100% sure
