That's a pretty interesting question.

Carthoo wrote: 30 Jan 2019 17:09 this is a dedicated topic for questions regarding the history of the development of American Truck Simulator from the very beginning to this day.
I wasn't sure what "the history of the development of American Truck Simulator" means because the history itself is apparent to everyone. So we have to exclude questions about any on-going projects? We should ask about the things only the devs knew regarding the past development of the game? Then I think it should have said "questions regarding what happened in the course of the development of American Truck Simulator". I thought we can ask about the development of ATS from the very beginning to this day. This was so confusing and it seems I wasn't the only one.

[REMOVED]

Sometimes I wonder why they didn't start ATS with DX11 from the scratch.

While making the game, have y'all ever thought about letting the driver go outside the truck and walk freely through the map? And also possibly let the player attach the cables, raise trailer legs and do the pretrip inspection? Thanks! And keep rocking!

So two questions, lol.

1- vcs think some mulplayer made by you even scs, and would have to increase the scala of the maps okay or not?
2 -vcs think of using the 3D equipment to mold the American roads as they did with the new scania because the vnl version is masi old being in the American market has the same model but much more aerodynamic with skirts and everything else

The original ATS2 scale, was it used due to fears if ATS would be a flop/fail?

Why was the decision made not to include any customizable unit numbers, FCC/ICC info, company logos/names or other customizable text (such as driver name etc) in a game representing trucking?

Just curious about this, I don't mean it to sound rude: has anyone on SCS spent time in the US, specifically in the region covered in ATS, either prior to the game's release or not, for any reason? If so, how much has this first-hand experience contributed to the game's development?
