Remember to stay on topic. Only ask questions about the history and past development of American Truck Simulator. Questions about the future and questions about Euro Truck Simulator 2 WILL BE DELETED!

Questions:
1. Did you expect and plan the Volvo VNL to be shipped with the game's launch line of trucks?
2. How many trucks did you expect to ship with the game or shortly after it?

What happened to the open doors/hood "feature" that was seen in this early screenshot from the first ATS blog post (https://blog.scssoft.com/2013/09/change ... inent.html) in 2013?

Hi guys! First, I want to introduce myself. I'm Juan an administrator of the largest groups of ETS2 and ATS in Facebook (ETS2ES and ATSES, both in spanish). So, thanks for this great quality games.

Now, let's focus on the questions about ATS.

1- Truck companies/licences: How the american truck companies reacted to the idea of licencing their products in a simulator? Comparing to ETS2, was complicated, different or easy?
2- Why you didn't use DX11 on ATS from the beggining?
Thanks again!

1. Why did you start on the west coast?
2. Do you travel to the places that are shown in the games (both ETS2 and ATS)?

First let me say congratulations on the 3 year anniversary. I've got nearly 500,000 miles in game and still love it as much as day 1, if not more.

Many have asked questions along the lines of what has been the most challenging, but I'd like to ask something a little more to the contrary in two parts.

First, what has been the most exciting in terms of the software development of ATS for you. Whether it be a DLC, or game update.

Second, what has been the most exciting for you on the company side of things. Whether it be the initial success of the game, or company growth, new techniques etc.

Thanks,
Happy Programing!

1. What was the thought process when deciding on the 1:35 map scale?

2. Was it ever considered to make the American map a kind of updateable DLC for Euro Truck Simulator 2 'across the pond'?
