Re: Idaho Discussion Thread
I agree that the real world is not perfect. But once the AI rams into the side of you, or darts out in front of you and almost hit you, many of you all will call for change. It happens already in cities in which the devs forget stop signs from side streets. I just had it happen off US-191 and in the past many times. Just because the real world doesn't have one, doesn't make it right or mean you can't add one.

Re: Idaho Discussion Thread
I can think a reason there is one stop sign only. The intersection is actually a T crossing and the side the stop sign is, is an entrance to a prefab. At least the mailboxes and the different color of the road tell us is something like that.
There are naive questions, tedious questions, ill-phrased questions, questions put after inadequate self-criticism. But every question is a cry to understand the world. There is no such thing as a dumb question.

@gandalf7472000. In your scenario, the opposite would still need a stop sign. The two sides flanking are the right away streets which means the opposite side of the stop signs needs to stop. Remove the prefab and the same applies, it still needs a stop sign. Especially on a paved road. If that forest road was the entrance with out the paved road, then yes, the one stop sign makes sense. But when we get the map, that will be one of the first areas, I want to check out.

Re: Idaho Discussion Thread
There's actually quite a few four way intersections in the United States that only have a one-way stop. They're rare and are usually found in low-traffic areas. I guess once we get Idaho, we'll be able to see if the real-life version of this intersection is one of them.
Re: Idaho Discussion Thread
I knew a guy so dumb, he died at a stop sign waiting for it to turn green.
Okay, I made that up.

Re: Idaho Discussion Thread
In reality whether there is a stop sign or not, traffic would probably still stop. An easy fix in game is to put the stop sign underground. The traffic still stops even with no stop sign being seen.
Re: Idaho Discussion Thread
In reality yes traffic will stop....if you are a decent driver. In ATS however, the AI will run it. Not a bad idea though to put it underground. That's assuming the stop plane is vertical to infinity.
