Idaho Discussion Thread
Re: Idaho Discussion Thread
Are you talking about the small section of US 26 along Yellowstone Ave/Northgame Mile between Broadway and Holmes that is inaccessible? It looks like we're not going to get it with Wyoming, either, since the detail quality along that road doesn't seem to have improved. Things could always change for release but I guess it's not entirely necessary to have that bit.

Re: Idaho Discussion Thread
IRL that section has an underpass that is only 13'8" and the turn onto Broadway from westbound US26 isn't very truck friendly, so trucks are encouraged to use the Rigby Freeway and either Science Center/Anderson or Iona (behind the KJ's truckstop) to get over to US26 from I-15.

@Bedavd @EllieODaire yeah, that's the one. thanks for informing me on that section of road. i agree that it doesn't necessarily need to be added, especially when it's not truck friendly.
Re: Idaho Discussion Thread
So looking at oldmanclippy's Montana concept map had me thinking about connections to Salmon, our current Idaho problem child that saw many of us hoping US 93 and US 12 would meet up in Lolo so we could have a second way to access the town and connect the north and south portions of the state. While those two will certainly be coming, I was thinking also about possible other connections that could be made.
MT 43 I think is an obvious choice. It'll be a quick and easy link up to I-15 and a few short miles south of I-90 and Butte. Seems like a no brainer. But what about ID 28? and ID 33 and 22? We have the beginning of ID 28 as the main road in Salmon passing by the Farmer's Barn. That would offer another route traveling SE down directly to I-15 via ID 33 or ID 22 and I really think it could fit given it's unlikely there will be anything marked along I-15 between Butte and Idaho Falls... but that brings another point...
It's unlikely there will be anything marked along I-15 between Butte and Idaho Fall, so why would this road be necessary at all? I really don't think it would. I for sure think it would fit, but if you're trying to move from Idaho Falls to Salmon you're so much more likely to just take US 20 to US 93 rather than up I-15 to ID 28. This is all just food for thought and I'd love to hear what others think, because I think the road could be viable if redundant, but redundancy in roads isn't a bad thing, particularly with the detour feature.

Re: Idaho Discussion Thread
I think I would rather have MT-43 vs ID-28. That gives us a more direct route to Salmon from anywhere north or east of Butte. Tons of utility created by opening up the mountainous central Idaho to central and eastern Montana. ID-28 is just an alt route from Idaho Falls. Nice to have, but I'd rather them use a road that gave a more broad benefit vs just making things easier for Idaho Falls and maybe Jackson.

Re: Idaho Discussion Thread
Fair point. I agree. I wasn't thinking of an either/or between MT 43 and ID 28, but just trying to speculate on the possibility of seeing ID 28. There's going to be a lot of room along I-15 between Butte and Idaho Falls so it could definitely fit, but also since it's not super necessary I'm not too gung ho about 100% seeing it.

Re: Idaho Discussion Thread
ID-28 + ID-33?
= Sage Junction Port of Entry.
It seems to be for northbound and soutbound trucks.
And I am not counting out MT-43.
Sadly not sure that ID-28 to ID-33 will be added.

Re: Idaho Discussion Thread
What made me very curious are these two photos of the same location in the latest SCS blog post (Feb 1st). It has a US/Idaho/and Canadian flag. So is this something new in Idaho? It looks line Bonners Ferry, Idaho... and I hate to say this... but it doesn't look all that detailed compared to what we've come to expect from SCS.

Work in progress = it can still change quite a bit.

Re: Idaho Discussion Thread
It does not represent the final product. Much of the detailing part is added later. Just look at screenshots of previous map expansions and note that in the final version, more stuff is added during development.
