California its old 1:35 sectors those will be rebuilt while 1:20 sectors will get face lifted.

With Texas being built do not expect anything for basemap till next year. Also, have distance signage and fast-food assets being used on older DLC could be done to improve the look of the map.

Would be alot better if they left their original maps up instead of deleting the old one every time a new map appears, like they don't want to appear to have ever been wrong?

I REALLY doubt it’s that deep… Changes to road networks and cities from speculated to confirmed changes what they speculate for connecting states.

Great, why not leave the links to the old maps up?

There would be more than 56 links then.

They could always be shared in an Imgur gallery. This would also allow for a caption under each version giving the date of each with a description of what was added or changed. How about it, @ads678?

Handy maps and diagrams.

Furthermore, I consider that I-80 across Nevada must be redone next.

Just check the previous page of this thread (post #1152) where I posted a map that contains all the previous speculative maps; this post is also listed at the bottom of the first post (Existing ingame map concept). I think I should rename it to be more clear.
So your statement about 'not wanting to appear to have ever been wrong' doesn't make sense.

Ridiculously enough, sometimes SCS is the one who is wrong, not me lol. I mean, I found a perfect solution to prevent that huge detour to Salmon without adding the Montana part, but SCS released Idaho DLC the way it is. As a result, people were really unhappy with its poor road network, so SCS had to make a 30% discount at launch. Also I would never have thought that Wyoming could be released without Cody and Yellowstone (what?!). Not to mention the hole in Utah.

It's too much work. Finding all links to the previous 100+ versions via browser history (I doubt they're still there), comparing them, adding notes... It's just not worth the effort and too late anyway. I would understand if it was a map mod, but for some speculative map it's not that necessary.

Well... Idaho will have its complement with the release of Montana based on the latest Montana blog post. Wyoming received part of Yellowstone at release and the other part will come along with Cody this year, as we saw the teasers in the Christmas Stream in the end of last year.
