T680 Sound is the "best" for now, because it was one of the sounds made using the FMOD resources. The others trucks have an inferior quality sound for now, because they were just conversions for FMOD and not new sounds like the case of T680. However, as previously mentioned, the team of sound engineers is working on new sounds of the other trucks and all fixes.

I guess it will take a couple updates to get all the trucks on the same sound quality of the T680?

When both windows fully closed, the outside sound including exhaust should be muffled instead of just reducing the volume. When in town, you should hear more echoed traffic sound than in country side. The sound of traffic should change relative to the distance from the player. When a truck is in front of you, you hear the sound directly. But when it's moving away, you hear more echoed low frequency sound and less direct sound. These were the things I was expecting. I'm not sure how much of these are actually achievable but the current implementation seems quite barebones and there is much more room for future improvement.

@CrazyGijs Thanks for the information!

I finally got around to checking out 1.37. Not perfect of course. Those expecting it to be, should never have jumped into the beta. There is a lot of negativity spoken that doesn't sound like constructive criticism to me. It a move in the right direction for sure but it's a beta for a reason. They need input from people outside of SCS. Beta means help us......satisfy you. Lucky for us, SCS does care what their fan base thinks of their product. No fans, no money. So by involving the fans, that's how we can speak up on what we are looking for in such an change.

There is always room for improvement. I'd expect updates every few days as they iron out and add things to this new engine. I can only judge 1.37 by the W900. The worst thing for me has already been stated, the off throttle silence. If I am not mistaking, the VNL did the same thing on its release. But I am hearing a few good things going on with my truck. With some adjustments and tweaking, I am sure the sound will improve. Environmental sound is really what this beta is suppose to be about. One thing I noticed was audible gates. Well at least the one I encountered.

Just experienced my first lock up, had to ctrl alt delete and sign out and back in. Happened in UTAH with G_traffic set to 5.

Yeah, I have to be honest that, I'm not really impressed with 1.37.

I mean, yay, new environment sounds, new trailer, so on and so forth, but they don't really impress me.

Could it improve as the beta goes on? Maybe. My thoughts on the 1.37 OB is what it's like right now.

If you like what's in the beta, more power to ya. It's just not for me.

Could they add adaptive cruise control? I think that would be nice so the truck would slow down/stop automatically if it got to close to the vehicle in front of it.
