Colorado Discussion Thread
Re: Colorado Discussion Thread
A couple of things i noticed while trying out 1.39 today was when selecting a B-train setup to purchase their not allowed in Colorado so it got me thinking if they are really not allowed in Colorado or if it was a mistake, i could'nt find any info online if they were but if someone knows on here would be much appreciated. I know B-trains are a Canadian setup and some people dislike that there even a option on ATS but i am so used to using these B-train trailers because i'm familiar with the setup i just wanted to know if they are legal or not. If they are i just want to try and use this setup in many states in game that allow these IRL that's all.
Also about Turnpike doubles, i saw that they are allowed in Colorado but the thing that gets me is the GCW limit for Colorado from what i read of one website is bizzare, it basically stated that most state road and some interstate roads were only capped at either 80 or 85klbs but selective routes from the Grandfathers laws where allowed to run upto 110klbs so again it makes me think will SCS allow the maximum GCW be 110klbs or will it be 80-85Klbs overall on LCV setups?

Re: Colorado Discussion Thread
SCS hasn't really implemented the weight laws. It's common to run more than 80k lbs with a standard 18-wheeler.
Re: Colorado Discussion Thread
I don't think SCS controls yet the GCW limit on ATS.
Regarding B-doubles I also am big fan of them but I think they aren't really allowed there, if there was one rule SCS could bend is that one, so we get to drive whatever we like in whatever state.
But i'm biased by not liking big cities so my answer will be one of the small towns in the middle of "nowhere" surrounded by farms and vegetation, east of the state is the place to go chill while driving, the job i recorded from Raton to Burlington have everything i like the most.
Mountain pass? US550 one is simply gorgeous but there are other in the middle of state that are nearly breathtaking also.

I didn't mind being limited to PNW, Nevada and Utah back when I rolled around with a B-train. LCV state limitations could be another tickbox in the settings though.
Re: Colorado Discussion Thread
It's been several weeks since I've played ATS frequently.
Can one actually physically transfer trailers to a garage and park them for storage? Or is it done through the manager?

Re: Colorado Discussion Thread
@flight50 I also work from home, but a small part of my vacation benefits are "use it or lose it" for the year so I figured Colorado was as good a reason as any to use one of them
@Skoot I also think that having LCV state limitations as a tickbox would be a good idea. But I'm wondering if some of the prefabs in CA, AZ, NM, WA etc aren't properly set up for certain trailer lengths. So it might not be possible, but I could be wrong.

^ Hence another reason the base map needs some serious overhauling.
Also, you do you, but if you're going to take a day off for the game, why not wait until Friday and then have a long weekend? Or better yet: take Thursday AND Friday off

These are the combinations that are allowed in Colorado.
Note: The STAA double is allowed in Colorado but is not mentioned here because it is required to be allowed in all states by the federal government under the Surface Transportation Assistance Act of 1982 (STAA).

@MT269 it is all done through the manager. Even if you drive to the garage, you still store it in the manager.
