Any one notice all of the RR crossings in Colorado with no RR tracks?
Gary - CB code name: CW
I've hauled ass down the road to deliver new cars and trucks, fuel, freight, and produce. Now I'm ATS addicted to doing the same thing in a simulation.

I brought that up some time ago. Notice that there is no "railroad crossing" sign. This means these are intended to NOT be for railroad crossings.
This had me curious.
Turns out, these are placed all over the Rocky Mountains to quickly close off roads during treacherous conditions.

The ones in-game a pretty accurate to real-life as well. SCS really did a good job with the attention to detail on these.

They are also along I-70 to Kansas and I-76 to Nebraska. Some of the interstate ones though are regular gate type barriers. They mostly used during snow storms. They are also on I-70 into Kansas to at least Hays.

Wyoming and Montana have gates like that too.

The ones on I-70 in Colorado actually got used a couple of months ago when they shut it down for the wildfires.

So would I plus it makes sense because of the shape
Honestly, after Colorado, I feel like ATS has finally reached the point where -- for the first time since Arizona released -- the map shape isn't that big of a deal.

Montana and especially Wyoming would definitely be the 'best', but the difference at this point is far less vast than it has been with the last three states. As long as they don't do something weird, it should hopefully stay this way for a little while. If this were a survival situation, we could still benefit from finding food, but we've at least secured clean water.

I think those gates would pretty cool if implemented with some detours.... especially if one day we get seasons... be pretty cool to have find a different route due to snow or something.

I thought those were cool o; the 70 and they did spend a lot of time on detail, my first trip there I kept stopping in the middle of the freeway to take pictures, and I couldn’t believe they managed to get that much beauty and the feel of he Rockies with the scaling issues. I kinda like how west of Denver there are hardly any exits, it was to make sure you feel the Mtn passes and the way they did the tunnel was great.

Denver, I wouldn’t mind if it felt a little more spread out but it’s scaling and east of Denver is the Great Plains so we have to leave room for that like they did. After Kansas is in the game and if your doing a long run by the end of Kansas you will have your fill of the Great Plains but I enjoy it and it’s hard to believe it’s the same freeway in the mountains.
